Just been gifted an eos 1000d. Pretty blown away as a nice and unexpected gift. Once camera phones got ok I gave my eos 300 (35mm slr) setup away a few years back, but now back in the game it seems.

Coupla questions based on sketchy knowledge:

Would the old canon eos lenses have worked with this digital body?

Any add on's I should consider straight away with this?

I used to use a polarised filter disc thingy, assume these are still used by many?

If shooting in b&w mode digital would the coloured filter discs have same effect as on film? e.g. orange to bring out the clouds a bit?

alright, what was it?

My first thought was horse - looks like hoofs on the fore feet. Zooming in my guess is more likely a sheep especially if taken in the UK.

My D7000 has a blinking ERR on the top LCD and will not take pics.
It was a refurb unit bought from CameraWorld about 3months ago.
Massive PITA, gotta take it back, but fear it will fall on me to send it off.

Switched cards, lenses, cleaned sensors.
I've managed to get it working for a few days then it goes again.
