kboy - smashing blog that. Seriously could scoll through those for ages. On that note (if that blog is on tumblr) have you thought about adding infinite scrolling?
Also do you ever write words to accompany the pictures?
What camera/ processing techniques are you using? I find sometimes the rig moral of going through processing pictures is the hardest bit sometimes, I love shooting but sitting in front of a computer bores me sometimes as it's my day job too.

^ Thank you! Cheered me right up
It's all in wordpress at the moment, with a hacked theme where I've stripped everything but the necessities out. Been thinking I should make it a tumblr for ages, but never got round to it. Should at least sort a theme with infinite scroll.
Got another tumblr though, for phone photos: thedailylind.tumblr.com

Words come and go. I used to do headers, but have cut back on it due to some kind of less is more attitude to photos. Never been a fan of wordy photo blogs, tbh, so that will prob not happen. Been pondering adding technical data for each shot, but I haven't made my mind up yet. I'd like the idea of the camera being a tool in the background, but on the other hand I've learnt loads about both film and digi photography from other posting film / exif data.

Cameras differ. Just got a X-E1 for digi stuff, so the most recent stuff is with that (france + portraits below). Stuff under the title 'JUNE 16TH, 2013' is with a Contax T2 and film, can't remember which. Also have a Bessa M3A with a 35mm Nokton that doesn't get enough use (It's up for sale actually if anyone's keen).
Processing is done in Lightroom for digi stuff, and film stuff I just adjust levels in photoshop, try to touch them as little as possible.
Agree it's hard to find time / energy for it. I spend everyday designing at work, so doing even more image work when I get in can be a struggle. I find mixing digital shots up with film helps though, it's nice to be able to do either anything I want with the photo, or hardly anything at all.
I've also found that if I procrastinate too long, I will never be arsed sorting out photos and uploading, so I try and do it as soon as I can. That said, all digi processing needs at least one nights sleep before it goes up online. I've changed my mind / regretted an upload far too many times before.
tl:dr - thanks!

Also, changing format makes things more interesting. A lot of my recent digi stuff I've made 5x4 or 1x1, makes for a new challenge when it comes to cropping.

Anyone got any good recommendations for a new camera bag? I bloody love my Lowepro Flipside 400 AW, but it's a bit knackered and I'd like to replace it. I really like the back opening, but ideally new back would be similar, but smarter, (i.e. not looking like hiking rucksack), laptop pocket, and some sort of side handle so I can carry it like a holdall.
So basically the moon on a stick. Anything?

I find myself wanting to take pictures a lot more recently but no motivation too. It's a rut of sorts and I f£(king hate it.
I know that feeling, I want to try out all these new things but I can never find the time, and I'm never happy with the results so I just take less and less photos.
One big thing I've found holding me back is shooting in RAW, my slow computer means it's such a pain in the arse to do anything with my photos, but if I don't shoot in RAW they always seem to come out looking pretty shit.
I don't know, I just don't enjoy looking at most of the photos I take...

I use a Dakine mission photo.
Its a beast of a backpack with a squillion pockets and straps.
Nothing like what you want -

Completely understandable. Same reason I don't have any of my photos on my wall. Even the five-ish photos I've even taken that I'm really pleased with, I still look at them and think "hmmm... shoulda used a flash to highlight" or "it' would have been better if I was a little to the left".
But that perfectionism just strives you on to take better photos.

Nothing like what you wantDidn't know they made photo bags. Claira's Dakine rucksack I bought her is bloody comfortable.
Just looked, the Reload looks interesting... cheers.

Yeah they look ideal - plenty of room for non photographic stuff too. Something which I'm keen on.

Ha! Though I want something a bit smarter, I'm tempted to get this for my non-corporate jobs...
Why can't lowepro have such stylings?

Looks like I have found a winner: Think Tank Airport Essentials. Does what I need, and I love the inbuilt lock. Nice touch.

I can recommend the Kata 3n1 range.
I have the 3n1 20, its very good, has loads of pockets and is built like a tank.

Nice, but not big enough. Like the x-strap, reminds me of my archie's grobag.

Yeah really like the look of this;
Kata 3N1-20 Medium Sling Backpack: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo
but how much space is in there for other 'stuff' say I'm hiking for a day is there room for other stuff in there?

sorry obligatory chrome bag suggestion: http://www.chromeindustries.com/bags/camera-bags

Ouch nice but pricey.

• #4047
If you're hiking I definitely wouldn't get a single strap bag.
-
• #4048
Regarding that chrome: I don't know any photographers who don't cramp as much kit as possible into their bags. The way that bag opens is asking for everything to fall out. Looks nice though, and I like the seatbelt tripod holder.

That single strap chrome bag reminds me of these 90s monstrosities
Can't think of many reasons to have a single strap, unless it's a bag solely for cycling. As soon as you're off the bike, it'll be shit.

Ahhh...all these problems of dust and oil! It just makes me sad! My lovely D200 has been dropped, slapped, punched, watered, used as an offensive weapon, fallen off a moving motorcycle, actually gotten me laid, used as as a glove, as a disco stick even as a door stop.
Still works flawlessly. I'll upgrade at some point sure, but this thing is going with me to the grave.
Just seen your post. Nice pics. Loved my D200, some of my best work came from that thing, such a good camera. Now my backup, backup camera. Few months ago I was short of cash, and tried to sell it. I couldn't even get £200 for it! Crazy when people are spending the same on a D3100, no-way near as good, but it's newer...
Well do above, but do it on a duplicate layer. Clone out the old lines, and paint in the straightened lines.
You'll want the transform tool or liquify.
