@ everyone -
bring enough food/water/battery power/clothing for the ride. this includes money for emergency route home and / or a b&b / miaow miaow / oysterspay attention at regroups/stops for info regarding upcoming hazards/navigation & ask for clarification if necessary.
be really clear when giving instructions in the above scenario.
tell people when you're a bit knackered, and get slotted in behind Purple_mj i.e. be in a position to dictate the pace without having to catch the wind at the front.
we need to stick together tonight. no bombing off the front and stretching the group elastic band style. it's going to be fun navigating this so keep close as a unit and remember 85 miles is a long way at this stage of the season on undulating territory and no previous recce. it is going to feel chilly out there and that uses up more energy so think long term even if the legs feel good after 40 miles. when we do get to tops of hills or T juntions/forks in the road STOP and make sure we are all together.
see you at victoria for 23hrs for group save action
If you wanna roll to Victoria later Wools, lemme know.
Maybe leave "Tha East" about 10.30?
This is gonna be one to remember. -

(45/16)73.9 GI is good? There are only two real climbs, the first you can see on the profile is just a short sharp incline for 1/3 of a mile right soon after the start.

Martin, I'll be waiting for the train on the east side of the station (there's an exit either side), it's the one in the high street proper, there's a top shop called Lorimers right on the corner. Amazingly enough, the road is called Station Road East.
I think that's the side the London trains come into.
