Down hill all the way. Pretty much. I did sigh when we realised there was no more train though.
And your frosted breath drifted across the downs, carrying a message of eternal resignation to the ears of every cyclist since, who knows they're not going to make it before the service terminates.

Just suck wheel. You won't need 'the lumens' then, either.

what was the one we had to ride back to london?
I simply had to ride back to London after Roydon, having ridden out there too, just to make sure purple_mj was safely chaperoned towards his first Tuesday night century.

Aaaaargh, there's none in the flat. She's drunk it all :(
I'm having some chocolate to console myself.
Outrageous. Absolutely outrageous. Does she not realise you've been out grafting ?

Once you got over the whole risk of death thing, how cool was riding on that motorway section though?
Is this cool? Is this cool? How about this? Is it cool? [/etc. Coogan]

I told you. I'm in the D-O-double G house.

Where the fuck is Ved? I'm not riding this year unless I have someone to talk to about marathon crunches sessions and obscene protein content. He's a strong rider. He can average 17 cunting miles per shitting hour in a group. FACT.

I'm playing football with him tonight, yes that's right I do OTHER things apart from descending like a fanny, I'll ask him.
I think last night may be my favourite midweek late night riding venue.

Sounds like a Banks/Collins/Gabriel/Rutherford lyric.

...plant yourself firmly in the saddle, engage your glutes, firmly grasp the hoods or tops, drop your elbows, and power up the motherfucker...
I tried this all the way home last night, and I never really got engaged the way you described. Perhaps I need to spend the day engaging my glutes while sitting in front of the computer.

Yes, it was deliberately shit.

It feels more like initiating the pedalstroke with your pelvis than your knees.
Sitting in front of the computer is more about pelvic floor exercises.

I forgot that commuting on wednesdays will be less fun from now on.

When's the 2011 thread appearing then?
-
• #6841
Saw Texas and Pink on Swains Lane last night doing a few laps of climbing practice. I hope you all realise this "practice" and "training" malarkey is distinctly un-gentlemanly and borders on cheating, and besides you won't get "most improved" if you're not shit at the start of the season.

Day-Moe exposed.

I freely admit to being shit. I was shit then and I'm still shit now.

If you don't have a Garmin you won't be able to view it this year.

But the thread title is less amateurish looking than the 2011 version.
