I went out earlier for an hour, roads were pretty dry and Ok, there is no rain forecast.

There's a section tomorrow where it is always covered in shit during the winter, literally. Plus the road leading to the bottom of Bayleys Hill is always a bit crappy, even in the summer.

Oh, and after my performance today, I would have to be a complete tool to ride fixed tomorrow.

It's possible to get around on 65 though isn't it?
By possible I mean, I'm willing to walk up bits if necessary.

The hardest climb is the first up Star Hill IMHO. More than anything as it comes after 5 mins of riding when you're not warmed up. There are definitely no 18% climbs a la Whitedown on this one.

That's my recollection of "Straight out of Otford" as well.

I feel Star Hill a very difficult one

I wussed out and brought the geared bike back with me - feeling a bit too fragile to suffer round on 84. Also, I'm out birthday drinking tonight so there's a chance I won't be there in the morning, in which case please don't hang around waiting for me. Other than that, can't wait!

Isn't it time you bought a new sprocket and/or chainring? Fixed bikes are surprisingly versatile, when it comes to gearing and shit.

Definitely doing this one geared. A kind forumenger has lent me a fixed these last few weeks but I'm not sure about the gearing. The brake definitely shite though.
