Tuesday Night Ride Club (TNRC)

always seems to have worked riding up from7oaks and bumping into each other. play it as you like. 7oaks will arrive earlier if they set off straight away so maybe put the least experienced (shit) climbers (me included) on the 7oaks train . sam would be nice if you lead us out.

Even the shittest climbers (i.e. walkers) would get there unnecessarily early.

Changing trains is a useful skill, and rewarding experience that weaves golden thread into the tapestry of your life.

And it will be good practice for not all trying to get on one carriage, thereby fucking things up for non-TNRC passengers. Fuck knows we've made a mess of it a few times recently >:(

I might sadly be out by the way: either because the forecast rain does not seem to materialise, I am at North Drinks 2nd Birthday to have herbal tea with 6pt, I don't want to ride another TNRC before I turn 50, the chances of missing the train are slim or I am a year late and have finally caught swine flu.

If fussballclub & dj are out, that's 10 people at Victoria. 3+3+4, or however the fuck you want to do things.

Same as last time, if I'm in danger of not getting back to Otford for the 22:42 back towards Maidstone I'm gonna peel off at Ightham. Don't fancy a) hanging around Otford for 50 or so minutes or b) riding back home.

Which reminds me. If the group is in danger of missing the last train at Otford (surely lightning won't strike twice) then I will lead you to Borough Green where you can all pile on the 23:06. This is in fact the last service from Otford, just further down the line into deepest Kent.

The Kent 6 would have made that 23:06 last time out, I just didn't realise the time at the time.

i love blackfriars. i didn't want to say anything but \bf was always my station of choice ;) a cockney geezer on one of the thames river boat rides once told a story about blackfriars. WWII breaks out so they dismantle the glass dome roof and take it to some storage hanger outside of london because of the blitz only for storage hanger to take a stray bomb. true or false? i never checked the validity

It is not for sure; could not keep up with Des from the door of Rapha to the next traffic lights on Saturday so, 100 yards incline on the way home today still hurt, a friend that stayed over on the weekend has come down with it (thanks for the coffee on Sunday morning, Martin), I think it must be swine flu. Would be really sad to miss the last TNRC of my first half ton before hol's in Germany. We'll see, but I am not to optimistic. At 6pt: yes, I thought regularly going round in circles had given you a new affection for all things North ;-)
