For this time of year:
**Minimum front light requirement☺ is ~3hrs @ ~180 lumens (runtime allows for missing last train)
**
☺Equivalent to Hope Vision 1, Cateye Singleshot Plus, or Exposure Joystick, Newt, Fenix LD20/L2D (with 2 sets batteries) etc.Tubes - bring a spare, and puncture kit.
Fixed/Gears - whatever you're comfortable riding 30 hilly miles on, in approx 2.5hrs including stops.
Etiquette - don't be a dick, don't ride off the front if you don't know the route, don't drift off the back without yelling; do convey messages down the line regarding hazards; do respect other riders and road users; do act responsibly on the train/at the station; do ride predictably; do have fun.

Thanks for the heads up. i don't have 180 lumens so for that reason i'm out.
-
• #3405
Unless i'm allowed to combine all my lights together to make one super light, i to am also out.

@ CTML & Vendor Bandit - unfortunately investment in a decent light or two is a must. Can't see your hand in front of your face, and zero road markings in places. Worth saving up for :)
@ Bainbridge - hmmmmmmmmmmm :/

you know what they say about big lights?
No.
Better make it good or I'll give you a shiner, buddy.
you'd better make it a good shot, pal.
Pun fail.
Has this been resolved yet?
There was a pun in Texas' post, although it may have been unintended for all I know:

I'm happy to do a divvy up of trains last thing tonight, then people can check whether they got their first choices tomorrow before the ride. Watch a space near this one…

Happy to lead a feeder ride from 7oaks to the top of Star Hill, rather than everyone have to change for a train back out to Otford. Worked out last time.
-
• #3422
I think I'd rather wait 15 minutes at Sevenoaks for the connection, than at the top of Star Hill for half an hour, but will keep your offer in mind.
-
• #3423
Ohw. I didn't realise the 7oaks one arrives early-ish. Wasn't like that back in March. Must be a different timetable.
Sod it then, I'll meet everyone at Otford.
But for info, the train from Charing X will arrive on platform 2, the Otford train will be platform 1.

Let's congregate somewhere in the middle.

Ill ride home, then drive down, if anyone has bags or stuff they dont want to ride with, chuck it in my car at Otford and grab it after the ride.
