So if you look at average speed/cadence, it's a definite vote for 64" being the ideal ratio i.e. 39/16 or whatever.

  • Hmm, that Obree bike is plain wrongo. Love that it's brakless too, still with population 231, I guess dozy peds are less of an issue in Scotland.

Just got back from a swift 10 lap lunch in RP. Legs felt alright, got my knobbly knees out and wore short sleeves - awesome. VERY blustery SW wind that meant a head wind for 2/3 of the lap, not so awesome. Should have done inner circle but it makes me dizzy.

    Bring on more spring!

  • J, let me know when your going to do more RPLL's as I could get there quite quickly from work, depending on my work load I'll be up for a few.

  • Regents, innit? Swift 10 laps of Richmond is an oxymoron at my pace....

  • I did think getting to Richmond then doing 10 lapsin your lunch was pretty good going.

  • I Was wondering how the fuck to do 6 minute laps of Richmond park if it was an hour lunch break.

  • Dave Brailsford is currently in the nursery, working out how you PM someone.

  • Andy are you going to get any Tuesday night passes?

  • I don't know. I hope so as I loved doing the TNRC rides over the past couple of years, but until Edie's sleeping through the night I doubt I can do it, especially as I do the last feed at night.

  • it's just wrong andy.............get out with us

  • One from work? That beard suits you btw.

  • ***REMEMBER - chances are your offspring will try to latch onto your nipple at some point, but in this scenario, NEVER EVER use the phrase 'daddy milk'***

  • @bmmf - ooooooow!

In general, when taking a long lunch to flog yourself on a bicycle, eat something before you go back.....

    AGGRESSIVE!???? ME!!!!!??????

  • hey ste5 and bringmemyfixed i think this is the most extreme gear ive ever seen, take a look tell me what you think?

  • @Wools, i'm in for a Sunday morn jaunt. I desperately need to get some miles in after a distinct lack of cycle activity this winter.

Sam - Tika and I are doing this route on Sunday morning. More than welcome to join us if you don't mind occasionally waiting for us. If you're not willing to wait then fuck you. Still be good to see ya at the start. :)

Tas - Got your visitor message dude. Still up for it?

    Anyone else?

  • I think you underestimate my lack of fitness / excess of fatness. What train are you aiming for?

  • we said to meet up at 10 am but maybe a bit earlier is better for me.
sorry for hickjacking the thread Tim and Jonny

    re-p-o-s-t

  • @wools

Nice call mate, PM on the way....

  • what's with the early starts on God's day of rest? anyone would think you were a bunch of cyclists.

i'd be well up for a spin round the route if it was a bit later.. in fact probably up for 10am if that means meeting up in the east at 10. specially as it looks like track ain't happening tomorrow weather-wise.

you know there is a smtnrc thread....;)

  • i'd be up for doing the smtnrc if i missed the tnrc... if that makes sense.

  • lets discuss this on Scarlett's thread

  • ^fail.

  • in fact probably up for 10am if that means meeting up in the east at 10.

    agreed

  • It occurred to me while riding in today that there should be a SKHMA equivalent for inappropriate/massive gears.

I propose the GOBGA (Gaeme Obree Big Gear Award).

    Nik Bowdler Big Gear Award?

    Not fixed, but ...
