Was considering riding out. But the road to Epping I did yesterday is a bit of a nightmare. Anybody knows any other routes?
-
• #1954
^^Yeah, if you want. I can only make the second train; and I'd still like to reserve a groupsave, as it's a bit expensive otherwise, and nursery fees aren't cheap (paying the likes of you to buy guns and shit). Looks like it might be a bit damp.
In general though, I don't really give a fuck about anything.

This is very much a rehabilitative ride for our lamest members, so extremely relaxed pace
If your name's not down on the list, you're not coming, erm, out
Minimum front light requirement☺ is ~3hrs @ ~180 lumens (runtime allows for missing last train)
☺Equivalent to Hope Vision 1, Cateye Singleshot Plus, or Exposure Joystick, Newt, etc.

I'm thinking of riding out, to get some miles in my legs for the Magnificat on Sunday.
a) is it a good idea to be getting miles in at this point, before a long sportive?
b) is anyone riding from South, Brixton way? -
• #1967
You should be tapering this week, not doing loads of miles. The Magnificat is tough, so best to keep as much fuel in the tank as you can.

The very reason, I am going to attempt to edit the list with out mucking up the formatting (soon) It will no longer say purple_mj (riding out, riding around and around, riding back)
It will say (if I feel brave enough to risk the wrath of BMMF) purple_mj (riding out, riding around and around, train back). As I and a few others have been entered into a Gentlemanly race on Sunday and need to taper down a bit -

mashton:

Thanks andy, good advice. I'll get the train out instead.
I am a bit worried about the magnificat, but I'll manage to limp around it...

I've ridden it and know many of the roads it covers from my youth (my parents live a few miles from Highclere Castle). PM me if you want more info on the route.
-
• #1972
PM will be on the way, shortly. Cheers dude.
