i dont wear a jersey, just a tshirt and shorts with undershorts for comfort.
but yeah, i have a bottle, and some energy drink, they will be in my bag though.
i might be able to do a no-handed bag sling around. that could be dangerous though.
to be honest, i think i will be okay if i drink well when we stop.

I decided the correct thing to do was to do this ride fixed. But it's not going to happen now. I have just spent 2 hours trying to switch my Condor from track mode to road mode...

To cut a long story short I have managed to fuck up the thread on my (Miche) hub swapping sprockets... The lock ring is now just turning (the other side of the hub is already fucked). I also managed to fuck up a link in my chain using a shit old chain breaker with a loose pin. AHHHHHH!!! Also, my 19 tooth sprocket no longer fits a brand new chain (or the chain whip).

I am fucked off.

New hub
Stress toy
Punch bag

Thinking about having 2 sets of rear wheels/chains for road/track so I don't have to fuck about with this shit...

So gears it is. I wish I had just left my bike alone. I will be paying a visit to BC on Monday.

any budding mechanics?? had my bike upside down, giving it a bit of a clean/check over, turn it the right way up again and it seems to have developed a very noisy headset. sounds like what i imagine jaws from the bond film to sounds like when he grinds his teeth. fearing ball bearings but seems a bit sudden so maybe some grit somehow?

not got the tools or the patience to remove and check the headset. any ideas?
