i have to be back by five myself.. i trust we'll be able to ride at at least an average of 10mph even with forty people, it's not hilly, there should be some good long stretches of nice happy 18mph cruising...
what could possibly go wrong?

We left well after 9am last time, maybe even 9.30. If we leave at 8am sharp, we should make it before 2pm.

I am so very tempted to bunk off school and come on this instead. The prospect of being outside in the sun on my bike vs being cooped up indoors learning to be empathic. Hmm.

im completely up for this!
thing is...i dont have a bottle cage, or any form of water holding equipment that will enable me to drink while cycling.
is that a massive problem? if we stop a bit below regularly then i reckon il be fine... -
• #347
The shops are still open, go and get a bottle, at least.

Just got done doing a quick maintenance check on my bike. Good thing I had - loose chainring bolts and a few other things that needed to be addressed.
Do spend the time tonight to do the same.

i dont wear a jersey, just a tshirt and shorts with undershorts for comfort.
but yeah, i have a bottle, and some energy drink, they will be in my bag though.
i might be able to do a no-handed bag sling around. that could be dangerous though.
to be honest, i think i will be okay if i drink well when we stop. -

Go fixed?
Dont really want to (it's not the gears more the coasting factor), however after a stop off at BC where Billy very kindly lent me a right hand lever, I am going to attempting to do a last minute SS conversion. I haz freewheel and rear brake...it could work
Just need to hope I can get the rather rusty 14T off the unused side of the hub, lockring is off, it's soaking in WD40 now
pray to Tynan for me,I'm still in with a shot..
I haz 8 tubes of tri-berry flavoured acrid piss
