Seriously considering this as I desperately neeeeeed leg miles, but am forced to be back for birthday beers in Regents park for about 3ish. Possible?
Did we do it in about 5-6 hours last time?

All out attack to get the tandem ship shape for this. Away from london tomorrow so spannering away to prevent chain suck doom on the downhills.
Also, on the very off chance that anyone has a french threaded left pedal, hit me up.... Can live without but it'd be nice.
The train people took a dim view on tandems last time I got on one, smiling sweetly is the only way.
Suncream, water, tools. Ace. Can't wait. -

I have the same problem. I really want to go on this but need to be back in town mid afternoon. I'm not sure it's possible, especially with a pub at the other end and me having the willpower of a goldfish..

well if the pace is a bit slow there are so many train stations along that section you should just be able to jump aboard whenever you need to

This response is far too reasonable. I was looking for something more along the lines of 'htfu and sign up to this ride, don't forget to waste all afternoon in the pub ensuring any prior engagements become meaningless'

You'll be fine rob I did the brakless 48x16 couple of hills but nothing towards the end.
Just a side note I wouldnt recommend anyone else to do this as it's not safe or sensible blah blah blah.
I'm planning on riding 48x16 so thats good to hear. Was starting to get concerned with the few threads of people saying they would have to this ride geared.

hey nice cereals btw
discount group buy ???The amount of fibre I work through it's often a wonder that anyone can stand to be in a room with me. The "Dorset Dash" is what I do every morning, shortly after getting out of bed.
