Think I've got this one at last. Hope it's still there this evening...

that could be anywhere...

My thoughts exactly! Although it does look vaguely familiar...

we could look in the 1850s window tax registry to see who had their windows blocked. that could narrow it down
or we could just get on with our lives...

This is as good as it gets.
I agree it's vaguely familiar, it's had a photoshopping , a long name has been taken out of the sign .
The bricks and weeds speak poverty, not a college car park. Cutlacks of Ely, mill road? -

I was thinking around the new market road/east road round about, total guess though and I haven't been along for a look yet.
Maybe a clue?

Some clever fiddling suggests one of the painted out words could be 'Kitchens'
Doesn't help me though, I'm stumped!

It isn't behind the furniture shop on Newmarket Road (by Outspoken) -, I checked it this morning.

Have you Cambridge taggers considered maintaining a tag map like the one we have for London?
It's a nice way of summarising what's happened.

It isn't cutlacks on mill road ;-(

That's amazing ,though a lot of work. I have been following the London thread, inspired to visit some of the spots featured.....so good

Anyone in the mood for a longer ride (and again, separate to main tags) here's one from my ride today...
Best one yet? #bicycletag #hyperlocal #fixedgear #cambridge by rob_hurst, on Flickr -

How so?? It's a tag...

I'm confused . Are you proposing I/anyone cycle out to the Mullard Observatory and photo my/their bike to continue a separate game of tag?
it would be surely preferable to start an entirely new thread if this is the case. Or just locate last photo posted by John Hale.
I meant wrong thread as in your pic should be in the post a pic of your bike thread.
Am I missing something? Please explain if I'm being dim. -

I think it'll be worth starting it before you lose track. The London one certainly is a lot of work just because of the pace, but how many Cambridge tags have there been? 30? 40? Should be feasible, but of course it all depends on having a volunteer or seventeen.

So basically business as usual, but if people are doing longer/interesting rides, why not add them to the possible tags?

Oliver I would buy a book with the entire 500 tags and accompanying comments plus map. Shared cyclist knowledge at it's best!

I get it now cheers, if there is a cap on how far out of the city you can go then maybe a separate thread for further afield would be better.

Could be, my only worry would be that the tags would take too long to get collected, especially if they're further than a couple of miles out...
Anyone else got thoughts on a new/separate thread for this?
They're ace.
