  • Yeah - it would be a good one for the future; just make the top bit twice as wide & it would make parking bikes easy!

they don't need that, they just need a hole through the middle to pass the locks through

a fat heading bollard will look kinda penisy

  • Priapic bollards FTW

  • Topical username.

  • Spotted this in Stratford today.

    It's the "no lock" technique.

i bet this didn't get stolen. too easy, thieves would feel like they were being watched or something!

  • that orange machine is a grim build. Is that some gash OTP with horz. drops not track ends?

I love how you really get a perspective of how wide those downhill mountain bike handlebars are. true excellence, those bars might look nice on my track bike.

  • The bTwin single speed is apparently only £69! My cranks cost more! Maybe his strategy is 'Fuck It, if they nick it I'll get another one.' I'm intrigued, I want to check one out now. Since I have seen a few about.

  • You'd need a specialised tool...

  • or just cut the standard padlock with a tool that bike thieves are likely to carry with them..

  • or just twist the chain until a link snaps?

  • Or just find a bike worth stealing?

Small padlocks like that often pop open if you hit them with a hammer. Also, they are really easy to pick with a paperclip.

  • A Manchester classic.

    what? £69!

  • Proberly.

not necessary, because it's cheap, he doesn't really need to lock it up properly.

the downside is that this is a colourful reasonably decent (once properly put together) singlespeed MTB which appeal to thieves and scallywag.

  • Spotted outside the cafe on the Campus I work at. I walked past and thought "surely not..."

  • When something like that happen, I usually make a point by moving the bike somewhere completely different but viewable to the owner so he can find it.

hopefully it's enough to make the owner realised that the bike will go walkie if he keep this up.

  • Fucking hell ed, you certainly are a man on a mission...

  • When something like that happen, I usually make a point by doing fuck all.

  • I made a point of taking photos, whilst being asked by a petrol head workmate stupid bike questions.
