  • I saw a woman in Dalston on Saturday using a cable tie to 'lock' one spoke to a front fork. Fantastic.

  • Spotted whilst visiting family in Dundee city center this afternoon, I dont fancy its chances. :'(

  • Spotted this over the weekend, not exactly a desirable bike but still a locking fail.

Saw one like this today outside Westfield and was sorely tempted just to lift the lock over the seat to remind them of how silly it is to leave it like this.....

  • just wow

  • winner

  • nice

  • Is that going to make the shortlist? Surely it has to...

  • I think i'm gonna try that brake lever position -could be the latest trend

  • Wow, that is super win. In a total fail kind of way.

  • No.

  • festerban well spottet. this is uebercreative yet all for nothing.
i say winner in best idea, best use of sheffield stand and overall uselessness as a technique.

  • Ha, gold. I say winner for making the best of a bad situation. You want to lock your bike up, you've only got a padlock...

    A good idea?

Sod dye, fill it with cyanide. Dissolved in nitroglycerine.

  • Spotted this in Stratford today.

    It's the "no lock" technique.

  • I like that technique. Possibly the thief will get so confused, looking for the ultra sophisticated lock that they will move on to something less brain hurty instead.

    Or maybe not.

  • the white mtb in the back has a decent lock and went through the front (even though it's just a cable) but neglects the rear - my bet it has qr as well. but with a freecycle right next to it, i'd say it'll be rather save.

maybe they both belong to the same guy and he is using the "distract the thieves with an unlocked bike next to my locked bike" technique. expensive method, and not very effective.

  • Just seen this about 20 minutes ago. Woman left her hand bag in the basket too, walked round the corner before realised and came back
    Made me smile

  • Saw a similar technique being utilised in Kensington the other day - the pic makes it look tight but IRL you could definitely get that lock over the top.

  • Bollards should be designed with Evo Minis and Fahg Minis in mind in my view.

  • Yeah - it would be a good one for the future; just make the top bit twice as wide & it would make parking bikes easy!

  • They are in Norway or somewhere.
    That'd be awesomes.

  • I was wrong. Ignore me.
