  • I have a krypto M-18... that could snap your neck on its own, let alone in a collision or getting snagged.

Like I said a few posts up, I hope he will never end up in an accident that involve his neck. One really would have to be completely idiotic to want to carry a lump of metal round their neck.

  • Not the same guy, the one I keep seeing is with a D-lock. Maybe this is the new trend for 2014?

Yeah, this is out in the Hertfordshire countryside. I can't fathom people wanting to ride around with a lump of metal wrapped around their neck.

  • ^ He's got the key as well as the lump of metal, so he is fine. lol

  • Won't last long with those zip ties holding it down.

  • It does have another lock thought.

  • If I'm going into town with the kids I take a long chain lock to put all the bikes together.

I quite often carry it round my neck, bcoz where else?

    Do I look a twat?

  • Yeah, but not just due to the chain.

If you're 'going to town with the kids' then wouldn't there be a few bits and bobs to carry anyway? why not take a bag?

  • Chains not the best of ideas but a lot less stupid than a d lock.

  • I must take a pic of that dude... must do.

  • with a chain, I presume it's still long / big enough to have it taken off you without having to cut through it, right? A D-lock will almost guarantee that dude in deep trouble one day...

  • Any suggestion on how best to carry piano wire?

  • In a piano.

  • Any suggestion on how best to carry piano wire?

In a James Bond Russian Agent Watch that means you can easily garrotte someone?

And then post it on the Watches thread too.

    Not rly.

Cash, phone, bowling ball (if going bowling), weed.

    Not much else usually.

  • Spotted in Edinburgh. Would last for about 3 minutes in London...

  • ...outside London isnt really fair game. I was in York a couple weeks ago and couldn't stop staring at all the badly locked bikes. If you drove a van up there you could fill it in an hour.

  • Awesome.

  • It is locked to something...

  • ^^ Prototype of new theft prevention device that slaps you on the arse as you ride away with the stolen bike. Still some work to do.

  • No different than a typical Dutch bike's lock.
