Not the same guy, the one I keep seeing is with a D-lock. Maybe this is the new trend for 2014?
Yeah, this is out in the Hertfordshire countryside. I can't fathom people wanting to ride around with a lump of metal wrapped around their neck.

^ He's got the key as well as the lump of metal, so he is fine. lol

Won't last long with those zip ties holding it down. -

It does have another lock thought.

If I'm going into town with the kids I take a long chain lock to put all the bikes together.
I quite often carry it round my neck, bcoz where else?
Do I look a twat?
-
• #3409
Yeah, but not just due to the chain.

If you're 'going to town with the kids' then wouldn't there be a few bits and bobs to carry anyway? why not take a bag?

Chains not the best of ideas but a lot less stupid than a d lock.

I must take a pic of that dude... must do.

with a chain, I presume it's still long / big enough to have it taken off you without having to cut through it, right? A D-lock will almost guarantee that dude in deep trouble one day...

Any suggestion on how best to carry piano wire?

...outside London isnt really fair game. I was in York a couple weeks ago and couldn't stop staring at all the badly locked bikes. If you drove a van up there you could fill it in an hour.

It is locked to something...

^^ Prototype of new theft prevention device that slaps you on the arse as you ride away with the stolen bike. Still some work to do.

No different than a typical Dutch bike's lock.
Like I said a few posts up, I hope he will never end up in an accident that involve his neck. One really would have to be completely idiotic to want to carry a lump of metal round their neck.
