Well, not often, but I was in a Waitrose. Maybe not a hotbed of bike thievery. Not that anyone noticed, but I reckon cycling off on a fixed gear with spd pedals is probably quite tough as well.
no excuses though, it was retarded.

It's in Japan. This means that it is unlikely to get stolen and that bike is probably the most secure in a 1km radius anyway.

It's also FECKIN HUUGE

since we don't have a thread (or do we?) of ways not to lock your head, this is the closest what I am about to say can get. A peer from my course carries his lock round his neck, as in he locks his neck in when he rides, if you get what I mean. I hope he would never be in an accident that might involve his neck. He looks really proud with his method of lock carrying, always...

Let's hope he never loses his keys.

^ that too.

Or that someone deliberately puts another lock round his neck so they can come back in the middle of the night and cut his off.
-

So possible not the worst example of locking (given the location and the complete lack of alternatives) but nice bike being locked it's neck today
Was there another 30 mins later too, so hopefully it's still intact.

envious of the fade... and general radness
dubious of the pannier rack rear light saddle mount combo.

I cycled past a guy riding with a massive chain round his neck like a huge medallion the other day. I winced.

Because he looked so badass?
-
• #3395
Of course.

Not the same guy, the one I keep seeing is with a D-lock. Maybe this is the new trend for 2014?
-
• #3397
D-lock?
Jeebus
This is the one situation where a shitty cable lock IS the best option....

I have a krypto M-18... that could snap your neck on its own, let alone in a collision or getting snagged.
