I'm only currently using a Kryptonite D lock, hoping to move up to the new york mini when I start my new project. I only lock the frame when in college aswell, if it's open to the public it goes through the front wheel as I've never heard of someones back wheel being stolen..

Some right sausage locked their sweet ass ridgeback commuter to mine today at uni. Waited around for 1 1/2 hours, decided I'd been patient enough and got the thing cut off and locked up by security. He said it happens a few times a week!

I hope you mean the bike is also locked too, if you just locked your front wheel only to something, then you're an imbecile of the highest degree you pollock.

a happy story from se3
found a lovely bike just leant up against a lamp post the other day, so took it home and left a note. then called the police, described it and they said it had been stolen, and it went back to the original owner! zing!

Did they point at you yelling "it's him! It's him! He took it!" when you returned it?

They will have to forgo a rear brake. But I doubt that would stop them

How can a brake stop you if it's not there? :)

Too many gears, and No idea.
I wonder if I were to saw out a big chunk from my own frame would it deter potential tea-leaves? It's certainly an interesting idea.
