(It's not actually a Penrose tiling. No 5-fold local symmetry. It's mostly Hirschhorn tiles plus some extra stuff they added because they found that too restrictive. http://www.architecturetoday.co.uk/?p=9650)
Well, from the shot that shows more of the pattern, it's clearly not a PT as it's periodic. And it turns out that I can't count... I was sure I saw pentagrams on that the first time.... FAIL

Good work - I like the idea of a stream of cyclists riding over to City Hall, parking up their bikes, and then furiously scootching around on the floor while they try to get the right angle to take a picture (that's what I had to do anyway)
If nothing else, it will brighten up the day of the secuity guys there

If I wasn't such a rookie at this game I'd say that there appear to be witness marks half way up that sundial where it was repaired after it was vandalised in around 1965.

Yes - I was trying to work out where you where to get that angle.
There were some people with placards & megaphone presumably about to protest something who must have been wondering what was going on.

^Agreed.
It's cold and dark outside, and warm and snuggly inside. I think I'll curl up here instead.
