  • (It's not actually a Penrose tiling. No 5-fold local symmetry. It's mostly Hirschhorn tiles plus some extra stuff they added because they found that too restrictive. http://www.architecturetoday.co.uk/?p=9650)

  • Am I being blind or is there no bike in the Penrose shot?

Moth - I bow to your superior knowledge

Well, from the shot that shows more of the pattern, it's clearly not a PT as it's periodic. And it turns out that I can't count... I was sure I saw pentagrams on that the first time.... FAIL

  • Old: Boris's Place

Yay! Back in the game without a tagzumping. Mind you it wasn't so hard - not one to crow about really.

    New:

  • I like the overlap between the Spotted thread and BToB.

  • Good work - I like the idea of a stream of cyclists riding over to City Hall, parking up their bikes, and then furiously scootching around on the floor while they try to get the right angle to take a picture (that's what I had to do anyway)

If nothing else, it will brighten up the day of the secuity guys there

  • If I wasn't such a rookie at this game I'd say that there appear to be witness marks half way up that sundial where it was repaired after it was vandalised in around 1965.

  • Yes - I was trying to work out where you where to get that angle.

There were some people with placards & megaphone presumably about to protest something who must have been wondering what was going on.

I got moved on by said security last night before I could sort out the right camera settings:

  • Or alternatively...

    oat44 lookalike, too. :)

    Well, slightly.

  • Right, on this if no one else is, you got an hour as it closes at sunset...
And thank you Oliver! I think I should take that as compliment ;)

  • Phew - I thought I had broken BTOB.

  • Quite a compliment...Louis, the thinking womans crumpet

  • old: The Rookery, off Streatham Common

    new: keeping those triangles

    Roll your way there

  • I forgot to say what a thoroughly lovely place that was villa-ru, highly recommend a visit if anyone is down that way

  • beautiful photos as always oat44!

It's cold and dark outside, and warm and snuggly inside. I think I'll curl up here instead.
