That was quick.
New one is easy enough with a bit of triangulation, not sure how you worked it out to be the centre of London tho, that's usually taken to be Trafalgar Sq. and this is south of the river for a start.

It's easy enough to determine, Matt, you just need to do a bit of triangulation.

^^^^ Ha! on a day when a pot noodle triggers a full scale anti-terror response I wasn't taking any chances, so went for the pocket cam instead. A screaming police car did come speeding towards me as I left, but carried on going, thankfully. It did bring back some old memories though! Oh, and it was just before the tunnel approach to T1-3, not T4.
^^I left at 3 this afternoon, and just got back

Awesome efforts oat. A lovely afternoon for it too.

Bloody good effort. Well done! I've a day off tomorrow so might hunt this down.

I'm sure it's not important, and it was a cool tag, but does this not still apply?

- Tags must be within London (limits are the North and South Circular roads)

That's crap, south circular is wayyy too close to town to be a reasonable border - M25 is more appropriate. I broke this rule with South Norwood Public Library ages ago, and no-one whinged. Still the southernmost tag I think, shockingly.
-
• #7987
Ha! That's jolly kind folks but whatok went there too, presumably, no? :)
-
• #7988
whatok repped!

Pretty sure it was M25 limits at one point, Awesome efforts to be commended either way!
-
• #7990
Within the M25 does seem like an appropriate restriction. I would have attempted the terminal 4 tag, had I not needed to go in the opposite direction for fresh coffee supplies.

M25 seems enormous, that's much bigger than London: Watford in the north, Croydon in the south, Staines in the west and Romford in the east? But I suppose the idea of north and south circular limit was to stop there being loads of obscure tags miles away from London, and that hasn't really happened...
in any event I'm a newcomer to Bike Tag and wasn't trying to tell people where they could tag or not, I was just curious as to how far away people think is cool. I may take it NORTH next time I know one :)

I stand corrected, it was a fake cigarette, not a pot noodle.
my take on the M25 debate: it's a bit like the shard. One or two like that, fine, but not too many -
• #7993
^ I like what you've done there ;)

• #7994
I distinctly remember some people whining about the game being, on average, too far east. I tried to balance it out.
It's not a great journey!
-
• #7995
still better than taking the piccadilly line though

It's not a great journey!
second that. Presuming you followed the grim4 all the way, it's one of the most unpleasant / dangerous cycle paths I've ever been on.

Makes you grateful for the city!

Makes you grateful for the city!
Very true!
What I love about London, on bike, is that there is always someone who wants to race you.
-
• #7999
Grrrrr. I know it, but can't get there today.
...perhaps later if it's still there.

Damn. Cycled right past the current tag today but was in a hurry so couldn't stop.
Dead easy this one, just go to the real centre of London. No clue needed.
