Heh. Good job I got it first then Will.
Street view seems to have a black hole on the new tag. Ho Hum.

I was trying to find this one before leaving the house, but am a bit stumped. The way I'm reading the clue, though, would put it just outside of the M25 - mashton, is this right? If so, isn't that against the rules?
-
• #7779
No, you're on the wrong track. It's one of the more central ones we've had in a while.

Just got back from Milton Keynes. Not having any luck this week.

A bond reference and is that an Aston Martin in the background? Coincidence??
-
• #7782
yay i got it right!! i knew it was there but kept looking and confused myself, yay.
-
• #7783
I hope the clue is not too cryptic. We'll see how you may fare.
-
• #7784
bond -st?
fare - mayfair?
twig- Stephen Twigg? -
• #7785
Getting warmer.
Anyone do crosswords?

Or could it be a car tag? Is there a bike rack on the Aston?
-
• #7787
Ha, I wish.

• #7788
Ha, cracked the clue. Nice one! Someone else can go and get it though. I've already been banned from white van tagging and even if I wasn't I wouldn't pay a tenner for the privilage of blagging it.
-
• #7789
Anyone else?
-
• #7790
Great, I broke bike tag. Doh!
Does anyone want another clue? Another anagram perhaps? Or maybe you can get it without one, you will truly then be our Don.
-
• #7791
which part was the anagram? I have spent way too long on this. the twig it part sent me off on what i think was a wild goose chase
-
• #7792
Fucking cryptic crosswords annoy the fuck out of me.
Just sayin.
-
• #7793
*Seems *this tag really takes the biscuit! ;)
It should be pretty straightforward now

Have a look at the original clue again, I have made it more obvious.
Skully, I'm sorry but I really can't think of a better way to give a clue.
-
• #7795
Well I thought it was Pinewood Studies, what with the bond, wood and fire (destroyed) references - but apparantly not.
I also agree with Skully. I don't think of myself as particularly stupid, but I really don't understand how on earth people work out cryptic crossword clues without being told which words are significant - but then again maybe most stupid people don't think of themselves as stupid...
-
• #7796
Tell them which are significant by putting them in quotes for example?
-
• #7797
I'm regretting this now. I honestly don't think I would be able to figure it out. It's practically unGoogleable, is in a streetview black hole, on a street no one will have heard of. I only posted it for, good, personal reasons.
Oops

• #7798
I don't see the problem with that, tbh. Someone will find it.
-
• #7799
Gonna go out on a limb, and guess 'twig' is part of the clue, especially as one of the sculptures is a model.
-
• #7800
Ah, found it. It's easy once you pointed out the anagram. All I had to to was start looking around maps for a road name which matched :)
I was not. By about 7 miles.
