I don't know if seeing your footprints makes me feel better or worse haha. Plus I can't even use my new tag as a pre-tag because there's bloody snow everywhere.
Temping but it'd take an army to get me out of my cozy flat now

Hold the page!
I think BQ was on to something when he questioned Sparky's old tag. A quick look at tomoh's picture shows the chuchyard on a hill (Clapham Common is flat, no?) It also shows 2 tower blocks unlike any near to Clapham Common. Furthermore Battersea Power Station and the big blue gasometer are also visible in the background.
In the best tradition of Columbo et al, I have deduced the photo was taken facing due North and drawing a straight line from a mid point between the power station and the gasometer, straight through the left hand block of flats leads to to a totally different church. A church that was built in 1776.Just putting it our there like.....

shhhh! I had decided that too, but Amen Corner was too close not to grab, and I wasn't certain on the church one. It didn't look right on google maps, but the clue fits it perfectly, in fact, its the only place that it fits as far as I could tell.
Quite happy for someone else to decide how we go from here...

I think Tommoh attached his clue to the wrong church, and I think that church may have been the subject of a previous tag, by Cornelius Blackfoot I think, but from a different angle.
Anyway, I say, carry on as we are - I have too much respect for anyone who dragged themselves out this morning to want to undo their good work.
(I really need to leave the house today - too much time armchair tagging, not enough actual stuff being done)

I tagged Holy Trinity Clapham, isn't that the right one?
-
• #6007
Anyway, if we're carrying on...
Old tag: Tooting Bec Lido. Where people were actually swimming this morning. Looked like great fun, in a way.

^^
Judging by the clue, yes, but judging by the photo it looks like it's closer to Battersea, and the distinctive flats on Battersea Church Road (check out tag 303, which I think is same place, but looking out towards the river. )
I am definitely leaving the house now.

New tag coming as soon as I can get this 3G working...

I tagged Holy Trinity Clapham, isn't that the right one?
Nope.
(Wiki): It was in early 2012 that BToB experienced *the great schism *, also known as the 'two paths in the snow'. Followers split between the Tommohites and the Sparkyists, each quite sure that they were the true adherents to The Six Rules.
Sadly both sides blamed WVM and his memorial, sculptured by Tynan and erected a year later after the uneasy reunification, can still be seen at various, disputed, locations within the M25. -

New tag: I had to batter my way through a lot of snow and slush to get to this one. Here's what you can sea from that spot.
-
• #6012
I'll tell you what. I can go back and fix this tag, then we can carry on from here. It's like I'm Marty McFly, going back in time to make everything right.

Gah, had i managed to get home before 5am this morning, via fewer than 3 night buses, I would have piped in earlier.
Outstanding Colombo work WVM! Next time a mismatched sock appears in the sock drawer, you're getting a call.
Also, KT Bee, you are absolutely correct about my attaching the wrong clue to the wrong church. In my haste to link the old and new tag, i foolishly trusted google and went with the first hit when i searched for churches in clapham.
With all of the awesome snow tag, I choose to repent and take the path of redemption back to The Six Rules. Shall we carry on with Sparky's new tag? -

Yup ...

Yup ...
Here, here
his memorial, sculptured by Tynan and erected a year later after the uneasy reunification, can still be seen at various, disputed, locations within the M25.
Disputed, presumably because, in the spirit of the thread, the sculpture resembles a set of railings in front of a non-descript wall, and is therefore utterly undistinguishable to the untrained eye

I've finally got my act together and put together a possible underground London ride for 18 March:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread79553.html#post2673571Oh NOOOOOO! Not the 18th! bollocks, I will be away, Was really looking forward to thie one. I always miss the BToB rides, which I am quite sure does not help with my finding new tags.
And I have a great tag that could be included on the ride, if only I figure one out to be able to get it!Oh, well. okay, that's my rant... as you were.

New tag: I had to **batter **my way through a lot of snow and slush to get to this one. Here's what you can **sea **from that spot.
Just quoting myself for no apparent reason.

Hhhhhmmmmmm how odd that you decided to do that!

Lovely bike Tomho. Haven't a clue where the tag is though
-
• #6024
It had better be a really interesting place because that is one of the least interesting pics there has been on here and pretty close to being a 'blank wall' shot.
-
• #6025
it's not a blank wall I recognise it! I don't know it, but I feel like I'm not far off remembering.
You can see my footprints from where I lifted the bike up on your photo :)
I didn't move it that far, so you could still grab that coffee!
