  • OK, so that's not interesting even to me. Basically - I think I know where it is, I wish I'd done it sooner, I have a rubbish camera and am never out of the office in daylight hours so won't be doing it any time soon.

  • Hurray for early finishes from work, and a recovering shoulder - back in the game :)

Apologies for the various shades of grey in the pictures. BB cameras really aren't up to much, although I did try to use my light as a flash in the new tag. I shall have to bring out the new SLR next time...

So the old tag was the Stockwell war memorial shelter, which once also included an image of Jean Charles de Menezes. A bit more info here: http://www.shadyoldlady.com/location.php?loc=1864

As for the next tag, well if war is evil, does this mean that we are all slaves to peace?

  • Is the new tag in a house of mirrors?

  • Is the new tag in a dark house at night with the lights off?

Stripes are the wrong way round

  • OK - so this may only be interesting to me (and possibly MoN - although he clearly know about it already, so maybe not even to him) - but this is where I found out all about the deep shelters - of which Stockwell is one, the Eisenhower centre is another. There's also one visible by Clapham North

The shelter has also a painting of Violette Szabo - World War II special operations agent and resident of Stockwell - on it.

And also needs some camera shake to add more blur

I had a great read the other day about catacombs and the whole underground city in paris

    lots of reading,but damn!...

Wtf is this? There are photos from the Roswell incident that are clearer.

  • I'll head back in the morning to try and get a better shot - same camera phone though so no promises of alien-free pictures.

The columns really are wavy though - and have a look at the clue if you're struggling

  • i really like the cryptic pictures... and since everything always comes with a clue i am reminded of zak mckracken

  • CLUE ALERT For those of who the last tag had them tearing at their eyeballs and running for the nurofen (other brands of ibuprofen are available) CLUE ALERT, I have re-tagged this is the daylight. Perhaps not the best photograph, but at least you can see more than grey wavy pillars (although I hope that you'll acknowledge that this was at least an accuracte representation of what the tag is anyway!)

  • I used to work right next to those. True story.

  • cool story

  • Fen Court, monument to William Wilberforce/abolition

Another William, also a film star (don't think this has been tagged before)

  • Do we have to tag it with bike #18174?

  • nice.. we haven't seen a boris bike tag yet have we?

  • As it's the same bike and I'm cheap that might give you an idea of range

  • Good clear view of the reg no of the hire bike to confirm no pre-tagging shenanigans.

  • Ah I know where this is but have not the time to get it today.

  • Ahh! I should know this being a medical student, if it's where I think it is??
    Edit: yup!

  • Old tag: William Wallace memorial, just off Smithfield market.
