  • meh, so its not connected to the british library one?

  • ^ Could be I can see a chain in the photo but methinks the chain would have to be very long!

  • Found the actual tag but it's bloody miles away, I'll leave it for some one else.

    #dejected

From the British Library? You could ride that with an umbrella if it was raining.

  • Surely this is dependent on ones skills with an umbrella+bicycle

  • OK, it's only 4.2 miles but I gotz fingz to do.

  • Ha, I am all over this. See you in half an hour, losers!

  • near the bridge on king's road

  • Nice photo theme linking!

  • Dang it, I'd found out where it was by ringing the BL, and asking where the other seat was, its called Sitting on History, by Bill Woodrow incidently.

I would have got it too, except I had to work throught Lunch, and then one of our Guinea Pigs died, so I had to go home to bury it :(

And now its gone, and I'm not sure where this new one is now.

I shall have to go the long way into work tomorrow, not in the hope of finding it, but in the knowledge that I'll have upped my cycle challenge miles, so I'll be able to eat more cupcakes to make up for the disappointment :)

There's one in Milton Keynes too.
The Chinese appear to be knocking out copies, by the looks of the google results.

  • I remember the one in MK, next to Ottakers before it was taken over by Waterstones. Lovely piece of metalwork.

I believe (from my little bit of research) that three where made originally, and that they are all from diffrent books, I think on the history of the Labour Party...

  • my google skills are no match for this one.

Perhaps flickr might prove more helpful? Just sayin... re-lurks

Ah-hah! Flickr'd. And a new weapon added to my arsenal.

  • Sorry, the old one was at the intersection of gloucester rd and kensington gate. I'm afraid I have no more info on the sculpture.

I just felt my new one was a bit boring. It has some interesting history though!
