I stumbled into Scoop yesterday, and tagged something else, then forgot, d’oh

My first photo was pretty much the same. Then while I was nosing at the door of the renovated older building that scoop is attached to, wondering what MMGY was and missing the jazzy music that used to emanate from this building when it was a contemporary music school, I realised why the Scoop feature exists: the view of the Precious Blood large rose window revealed by the scoopy bit to Union Street as you glance down Omeara St.

  • That last picture is great! Love it.
ETA - Apropos of nothing in particular - As you descend the hill towards Forest Hill Station from The Horniman Museum, you have an uninterrupted view of the spire of Christ's Church located the other side of the railway lines. There is a gap in the City Walk Apartments block of flats, built not very long ago, behind the station on Perry Vale. My grate friend and architect, Simon Legg (whom some of you on here will know), was the expert witness instrumental in ensuring that the view of the spire was preserved.

  • Great photo, seconded. If you look at streetview you can see the complexity involved in creating it, worth it though.

The follow up is 70 St Mary Axe on their website…

  • Don't you mean ottoman ;)

  • To be rude as possible (not to Simon), how the fuck have so many views been so fucked?

Yes I sort of know, but....

  • So I've retagged a tag that I was tagzumped on and didn't even remember.

  • That's clearly within the rules.

  • Lol. It won't be long before one of us retags one of their own.

  • So, unless Will posts a new new tag, the old tag is still open. Anyone else can tag either the old tag or Will's old new tag.

  • It's much easier to work out from the old clue!

  • An energetic tagger would collect both tags then do their own.

    I'm going for a nap.

  • Energy rich. Time poor. :(

  • Definite bit of gauntlet throwing going on there.....

  • Nice one @oat44 haha it wasn't a challenge. I just realised I quite fancied tagging, but preferred a freelancers afternoon nap.

I can't really believe they called one of the lines Lionesses. So cringey, will seem very odd in about ten years I reckon.

  • Pedley Street Station is not a real station of course. There used to be a station on Pedley Street when Pedley Street itself was a few hundred meters to the west, except that was called Shoreditch Station before that was shunted even further west to where it is today*. What is now Pedley Street is the remnants of Weaver Street, which for the Weavers line running just behind it is most appropriate.

*EDIT: before Oliver corrects me, Shoreditch Station added High Street in its name when it moved http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/s/shoreditch_el/
