No idea where shinkuu's tag is :(
Tried a cursory google search for notable horse chesnut trees in london (is it even one? Can you have "notable" HC trees??)
only result was one by euston road which doesn't seem like the place... -

Likewise, clue means nothing to me.

the original clue makes perfect sense in light of this Chinese philosopher. He's a dark horse that shinkuu kiss!

• #10107
ah... well it made sense in my weird mind. No one else then?

If you're looking for a horse, it's ok if you end up with a brown one or a black one. But if you're looking for a white horse, a brown one or a black one is no good.
If you say a white horse is the same as a horse you're saying you were looking for the same thing both times. If you were looking for the same thing both times, there's no difference between a horse and a white horse, and if there's no difference between what you were looking for, how come a brown horse or a black horse is all right one time and no good the other? All right and no good are clearly opposites.
So brown and black horses are the same because you can say you've got a horse, but you can't say you've got a white horse. And so a white horse isn't a horse, obvs.

White horses are Grey.
That's nearly the limit of my equine knowledge.

Greyhounds are blue.
That's nearly the limit of my canine knowledge.

You'd enjoy reading the Euthydemus (if you haven't already).

*I've not been paying attention.

I'm not sure I can give any more clues short of posting a link to it on Google maps.

Try, see how you get on.

C'mon people - it's not so hard. I've counted the name of place 6 times on this page alone. If only [it wasn't so late / it wasn't raining / it wasn't the wrong side of the river ] I'd be there in a shot.

-
• #10122

Old: St Dunstan's and All Saints churchyard, Whitehorse Road.
Clued via Gongsun Long's "a white horse is not a horse" paradox, caused since English, and apparently classical Chinese, use the same words to denote set membership and identity.Pearoast removed to hide my shame. It has been got, but isn't on the map!
New new:
Clue to follow
Now I understand, how embarrassing I didn't make the connection!
wise words, how did you dig that up?! There's an ace clue buried within!
