ah - didnt realise that you use analysis during a game, thought it was just there to show you what you should have done afterwards
-
• #403
I guess mashton means where you can just flick over to a board that's set up at your current state and try a couple of things. You don't get the analysis of how strong your current position is, or whether you should have made different moves - but you can just play both sides by yourself for a bit to think/plan

Yep that's it. Both things are, oddly, named the same.
-
• #405
Ok, lets try this again. My goal is just not to make any moves that are immediately obviously stupid!
-
• #406
I'll try tha strategy too!
-
• #408
Blackhorsey why are you offering me a draw? Games midway through.
-
• #409
Well played. Seems fitting that Greeno and I share top spot. I think we played each other 6 times and won three each over the whole tournament. I was worried we were going to have to play another two!
-

Too many games at once, not enough time.. offering draws where the game is closed off and even.
Up to you if you want to take it.
-
• #411
Yeah that's what I figured dude which is why I accepted the draw. our game was heading to a horrible place anyway - but appreciate you wanting to get a few games chalked off.

How do I see the tournament standings? Finding navigating chess.com challenging.

cheers Jonny, v well played. If it's any consolation I knew i couldn't afford to lose that one so threw all my concentration into it. Analysis said I made no mistakes, which i've never had before. First win was hollow though as you just made a blunder.
Well played @jb000 , certainly did not want another round either. I'm fatigued.

no mistakes! that's awesome. and makes me feel a lot better. am sure i served up a mini doughnut earlier in the game but it's all a bit of a blur now

Edit: Oh, there's another one. That explains why I wasn't seeing half the games you were talking about

yep duncs has provided the link.
to navigate go to 'Play' in your left hand nav - from there select 'tournaments'. It will show you upcoming tournaments - those you are currently in - and those you have registered for.
recommend if you have time throwing yourself into some other tourneys. check rules and ratings so you don't end up in the room with a load of armchair GMs
-
• #418
yeah actually you blundered that one too looking back! you got caught by the old pawn fork. The worst of all the forks!
The mistakes take no time to creep in when multiple games are on the go.

awesome trophies.
I lost more games than I won in that tournament. And lost more games than everyone else in it.
And came second. fuck yeah!
-
• #420
yep I can remember that - supported by your Rook. game was over at that point but way too much material. and with your King half exposed thought worth carrying on. but 'no mistakes' put pay to that. good stuff
-
• #421
Cheers for accepting- was a cagey one. Definitely would've been a bit of a war of attrition to get a result.

Anyone for a real time game today?
Edit: no one rated more than 1000 you bastards -
• #423
I can do a game this afternoon, unless you are my manager, in which case I'm snowed under

Username checks out. Great, keen whenever.

Are you Brandon on there?
Nah, it was a good game still. You played really well and I never got the chance to put my dastardly plan into action! GG.
I find the "analyse" function really useful when playing on the phone. It allows you to game out options and see the board better.
