^^ welcome back Hoonz. You in the country?
Alright Mr Sumo, no unfortunately. I live in Perth Australia again. It's amazing what can happen on the road. Miss London but the weather here is sweet, i have a lady and my Dad has an amazing collection of old bike bits. He's even got a spok! I'm gonna help him go through whats good and whats not, keep some choice bits and sell the rest on fleabay. He's giving me an old kuwahara roady with some mint old parts on it, it'll be my new beater i think.

^^^^Jeebus, who teh fkcu does something like that to their BMC?! Hang him by the balls!
-
• #1682
I'm not sure that's a BMC. Seat clamp area looks wrong. Also it's not snapped in half.
-
• #1683
It's not a BMC. It's just another generic chinese frame.
-
• #1684
Hehe.. I retract my statement.. Guess the stickerbonanza reminded of their colourscheme.. It indeed looks like a generic Chinese/Taiwan alu frame

Is the best ride I had! The bars now are perfect, same with the saddle move it a few cms back! Thinking of a front rack now for shopping and stuff! Any suggestion?
Basil racks. There is some dutch mail order place that does them for £20. Or the nice Velo Orange things (which co$t).

Mixtes usually are considered to have twin top tubes which extend right back to the rear axle. I would call the bike that you posted a "step through", of course a mixte is a type of step through too.

And there's nothing redeeming about that particular one other than the filled tires and that it seems to be a bike that gets used.

• #1689
you are right, i don know why i assumed everybody will know what my point was.
and bikes that are gettin used, is what this thread is about for me. -

I have a basket on an entirely inappropriate bike at the moment, that means it belongs in here right?
I don't anticipate it affecting the handling too much as I plan to use it exclusively for carrying cake and beer (and sometimes breakfast maybe).
Pretty sure I saw this bike locked up in Chinatown on sat. Was admiring it whilst sinking a few at De Hems

You missed the sarcasm train that went through your front room.
"Safety Levers" is one of the best misnomers ever, there should be a thread for such. -
• #1696
My bad.
I'm sure it's been scientifically proven that sarcasm doesn't work on the interweb though. -

When I miss sarcasm I keep trying to prove that it didn't happen. -
