  • ^^^OH! what in all that is holy is that? have the horsemen of the apocalypse traded in their steeds for two wheelers? kill me now.

  • Invest In Tools, apparently.

  • Sage advice. Thanks Mister Wheel! runs off to machine mart

  • remember the stainless Independent Fabrication? owner had it since 2007...

  • What happens if I open the bottle of this bike?

  • Looks like rust bubbles under the paint on the Brooklyn's forks. Not good.

  • NEED to know where that front rack thing came from. can you buy ? or will i be in the shed cutting up old cymbal stands and shoe racks to get me one ?

    need one of those.

that's a modified rack from a finnish JOPO bicycle..

  • JOPO..... ? wich means ? excuse my innocence please.

  • waits

  • I see, quite like the colour- but can't help but think the hipsteresque filter is adding to it somewhat. That aside, looks like a very reasonable winter build!

Hipsteresque filter? How dare you. Here's some close-ups that show the colour of the frame a bit more realistically. These were taken indoors but I've got one of those ridiculously bright sunlight bulbs, and I've played about to make the colours look as close to reality as possible (on my monitor, at least).

The finish goes satin as above after about a month or so - it's pretty glossy right after it's applied. There's a patch of rust near the old shifter where it has rubbed off, but otherwise it's resistant to occasional rubbing on clothes and stuff.

JOPO are a finish brand of bikes. they where the only ones years ago and now they have a bit of cult followers, and they are VERY hipsters

pretty much thou the very hipster status applies only when you're a hipster riding a jopo. grandpas also riding these since they've been making these for ages..
jopo is a model of the Helkama cycling brand which also produces other types of bikes and even home appliances..

Heh, sorry... Ta for supplying the close-ups, I do like the finish with the Linseed, does add a nice tinge to yo steel.

  • What, again?

  • I'm seeing double this time.

  • I'm seeing double this time.

    4 Cannondales?

  • Mo's Cannondale from the first few pages:

    And what he rides now:

(Sorry, MAS-Haters. I like the Keirin-style decals, mind)

  • Chas' MASH

  • Those Keirin decals are indeed cool! But it is not yet a rat bike in my opinion.

  • My old beater, more of an experiment to see if I'd enjoy riding fixed wheel.
