Just updated my rat with new tires, inversed ghetto rack, stem, cork grips, modified yellow led headlight and rearlight.
Think I'll build some wooden fenders later on.

Looks really good.
That's a frame designed for 27" with 700c, right?
What are the tyres, and what's the clearance like on the sides like - ie where the tyre side wall would hit the fork blades.

Thanks! You're right on the wheels, these are 28" x 1 1/2.
Front clears easily, rear hits the stays a little, so dented them a bit. -

what bars on pic #5?
I found them in a bin at work, they are Sakae custom Road champion, never know which name to call them
actually planning to put them on a 5 speed road bike with a front rack, maybe rear rack to with panniers so i can get fully loaded

Look pretty much perfect as it is really.
...here's the 'beater' now
-
• #107
Still nice.
I'd change the brake lever, silly chain and ditch the rim sticker.
^ fussy bastard.
-
• #108
Didn't put much thought into the chain and lever, it was whatever the shop had in!
....impatient bastard, just wanted to riide!
my fussy side will come out in the next build.

What up with your choice of gear inches? That look higher than track even!
-
• #110
Gets me along at good rate. Running 52-15, so just over 90 inch... not many hills around me, so don't need anything too versatile!

spokes
it's the new puppy killing, track frame with coaster brake/freewheel, rack up front and raked handlebars, and I've done it to mine. makes for a really good fun bike, but will piss some people off for sure
