A friend has had to drop out so took their ticket/place last night.
Just seen this, sorry for that! But thanks so much for the offer!

Absolutely brilliant, really nice and really not pricey

Really good route. That rutted field though!
In other news, I managed to add a 10k or so bonus section by carrying on a little too enthusiastically down one track (missed a switch-back at the disused station). Profuse apologies to anyone following. Picked up a p******* on doubling-back on that part too to add to the fun.

That was a lot of fun. I've never really done proper offroading - let alone on a plastic bike with 25mm tyres - and my god, I now want more. Time for the oft-thought-about CX bike.
That field was insane! As were the uphill offroad bits.
Didn't fall off, and only one puncture which was my fault really... gurned at some dude filming on his phone, and banged my rear wheel in a pothole on the second offroad sector.
Lots of very friendly riders during and at the end, putting paid to the snobby poseur reputation. Can't wait to see the photos people took! -

Such a good ride !
Was really happy with how the good old Nigel handled it, it did slow me down on tarmac bits but was so much fun on the off road sections.
Will ride again ! -

RCC gets 200 and is first come first serve.
Ballot on 100 for the rest. No benefit to being first. -

That nice ditch near White Stubbs Lane might now be a bottomless pit and make people disappear from the face of the earth.
