That's normal, due to vehicles parking on the road, you can't see ahead without moving forward a bit, so despite the fact the front of the vehicles is on the cycle lane, the driver have better visibility to see incoming traffics.

That reminds me, I have to report the cunt that threw a bottle of softdrink out the window at me. Lucky it didn't connect. Fucking northern cunts (sorry Luci).

Just got very nearly taken out by a bus who realised too late there wasn't enough room to overtake me after all. Luckily I was able to stop before getting crushed but not before he hit my elbow then drove off like it was nothing. What the fuck is wrong with these people?
I've reported to TFL - is there anything else I should be doing?

Chances are he's my boss, or will be my boss at some point.
Is this an appropriate email:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a medical student at the RDH, and I cycle in to work from Nottingham.
Today at the junction of Uttoxeter New and Uttoxeter Old roads, whilst proceeding in the cycle lane, a car driven by someone working at the RDH (licence plate EO55ETA) proceeded to become more and more aggressive towards me. He started by using the horn repeatedly and unnecessarily as I was 1. in the cycle land and 2. proceeding at the same pace as the traffic in front. Then he overtook as close as possible and cut in front before giving me any space. He proceeded to move across lanes and use his car as a weapon to try and bully me off the road. It culminated at the junction of the Kingsway and Uttoxeter New Road, where he moved to the left hand lane (for left-turn only), and then as I approached the junction, deliberately swung straight across my path. I saw him turn into the RDH, and so I have assumed that he works here as well.In my opinion, he does not deserve a licence to drive, he is unacceptably aggressive behind the wheel, and a danger when behind it. This does not bode well for his skills as a doctor and frankly is very upsetting.
It is particularly difficult for me as I am likely to come across him in a professional environment.I would not like my name to be attached to any formal complaint against him and would like this to remain anonymous.
Sincerely,
eyebrows -

Looks good, but:
typo 'in the cycle land'
Don't know what this means? 'cut in front before giving me any space'
The bit about him being in left hand lane, presumably you were approaching in right hand lane?
Fair enough wanting to remain anonymous. Did you actually spot the driver? Was it someone you recognised? Who are you going to send the complaint to? If you roadsafe it, that gets sent anonymously, right?
-

There's no point in sending it if you want to remain anonymous (which is completely understandable, but kind of invalidates it). Either try to talk to him personally (it shouldn't be too hard to find out who he is), making all these points in a calm, reasonable manner (may not be possible, I know, but despite being more junior, you're an assertive guy, and a doctor or NHS employee should surely appreciate that this sort of behaviour could lead to injury for less competent riders) or don't pursue it if you're worried about the consequences.
Good typo of the day:
I was 1. in the cycle land

^ Same with "using his car as a weapon".
Less emotive version:-
"He proceeded to move across lanes and use his car to try and bully me off the road."
(Obviously this is just my opinion, feel free to ignore it.)

What dst said.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a medical student at the RDH, and I cycle in to work from Nottingham.
Today at the junction of Uttoxeter New and Uttoxeter Old roads, whilst proceeding in the cycle lane, a car driven by someone working at the RDH (licence plate EO55ETA) became increasingly and frighteningly aggressive to me.He started by using the horn repeatedly and unnecessarily as I was 1. in the cycle lane and 2. proceeding at the same pace as the traffic in front. Then he overtook as close as possible and cut in front without giving me any space. He proceeded to move across lanes and try to push me off the road.
It culminated at the junction of the Kingsway and Uttoxeter New Road, where he moved to the left hand lane (for left-turn only), and then as I approached the junction, deliberately swung straight across my path. I saw him turn into the RDH, and so I have assumed that he works here as well.
This was an immensely unpleasant experience for me and has left me feeling shaken and upset, and if this individual is an employee of the RDH I hope that you will take whatever action you feel is suitable as I feel it is fair to say this isn't appropriate behaviour for a member of our staff. I'm actually wondering if this is a matter I should be taking up with the police so please let me know if you think this would be advisable and if you would be able to provide them with necessary information about the owner of the vehicle.
Sincerely,
eyebrowsThoughts?

I'd defo try and track him down and talk to him personally. If you can be arsed, obviously.

• #5144
Don't forget to shit on his bonnet, otherwise the while thing is pointless.

Report to cop station. Glass him at local pub.
-
• #5147
Excuse the question, by why assume he works there? Couldn't he be a patient/visitor?
-
• #5148
Maybe he was rushing to the birth of his newborn?
You insensitive prick!!
-
• #5149
How does he know that it's his child?
You poor naive fool.

Deliberately used his car as a weapon against me today. Not sure what I should do.If this is a serious accusation/assault and you've any evidence, you have grounds for a complaint to the GMC and more chance of success than with a criminal prosecution.
Even without end result, the annoyance such an investigation causes to a registered practitioner may make you feel better. In my opinion aggressive public behaviour is both improper per se and also brings the profession into disrepute both of which are due cause for disciplinary action.
so many vehicles peeking right into the cycle lane too.. standard.
