That Ann McColgan woman? the one shown riding a horse in her profile pic. the same Ann McColgan who probably thinks that cars don't give horses enough space on the roads and that their passing too close is dangerous and potentially deadly?

How could anyone in their right mind expect her to have any reason to empathize the matter at hand here? I mean horses are animals, you know flesh and blood, they can DIE which is INHUMANe, bikes are just metal... who cares about those things getting hit by cars, it's comman sence people!

I think you can march someone out of the door the same day for gross misconduct. Time-stamped video + vehicle log would probably be enough evidence. Of course I could be very much mistaken...

Yeah, from what I understand in cases of gross misconduct you can kick them out immediately. It still needs to be "fair", and I understand to mean that the employee needs to be given an opportunity to defend themselves, but I think the video evidence makes that a bit tricky.

"There was a spider! Another driver sounded the horn, that wasn't me, the clip doesn't show the HAZARD that I could see and was swerving to avoid"?

Do read the comments, they are hilarious. They seem to be split between keyboard warriors doing the electronic version of circling round shouting "FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT", and a very strange double think argument that "you can't see what the cyclist did first so he must have done something REALLY BAD and deserves being beaten up.

You've got to stop thinking of comments sections on websites as reasoned points of view and see them as performance art pieces with themes of ennui, impotence and angst.
