Surely if you could get the police involved they can simply check phone records and wrap knuckles?

Dogstar / Molson beer dray saga continues - despite reassurances from both of them, i see their lorry was there again this morning. Not parked in the ASL this time but still out of loading times and still causing fucking chaos regardless. Got called a 'nob' by the duty manager and the driver whilst taking a pic.
Oh dear. Someone's about to have a very shitty morning.

Loads of drivers in the fog this morning not using their lights. WTF is that about?
-
• #4163
Same number of drivers not using their lights at night too, should have been a forced of habit to turn on the light even if they don't realised it's not on.

BN08VRG - "You're not even dressed like a cyclist!" - YouTube
cyclist headcam videos...yawn... i know. but this driver is like a full house and some!
speeding, texting, no seatbelt, tailgating at speed on wet roads, goes the wrong way around a roundabout. then when the cyclist tells her to put her phone down, she tells him he has to cycle on the left of the lane, he doesn't know the law *and he's not even dressed as a cyclist! *which is ironic because she's not wearing a jumpsuit and crash helmet like lewis hamilton.

The fail is the cyclist getting worked up and insist on giving her a talking to.

Yeah, let it go, Jesus, why let her live in your head rent-free.

can't neg you Ed because i gave you plus rep too recently. that doesn't seem like a sensible design feature on the forum but hey ho.
you're a hypocrite Ed. Coming from a man who recently banged on a car because you saw the driver was holding (but not using) a mobile, and you hadn't seen the car do anything wrong, how can you criticise this guy for telling her to stop using her phone while driving?
it's a fail getting worked up, where ideally he would stay calm and just report her to the police when he gets home with footage of her face and the license plate, but it's an understandable fail as she was tailgating him for a while increasing the risk (to him only) of injury and then telling him he was cycling badly when in fact he wasn't, and she was speeding with no seatbelt.

Because this;
it's a fail getting worked up
Is what I meant.
Hypocrital? probably, but is it worth getting worked up over? no.

OK, don't get worked up about it.

I don't usually post near misses and stuff, but this one freaked me out.
Riding home from work last night, on a busyish road that is quite narrow (space for cars going both ways, but not much more).
There's a bus coming up fast behind me, but it's still quite a long way back so I figure it'll slow down as it gets nearer. By the time it gets close I realise that it isn't slowing down at all. There's a gap between the parked cars to my left, so I swerve sharply into the space. A split second later the bus drives over the bit of tarmac I would/should have been on, leaving about a foot between itself and the next parked car.
I catch up at the next stop and, figuring that the driver must not have seen me (despite lights and reflectives), try to explain as calmly as I can that he nearly ran me over. I've barely opened my mouth when he starts shouting: "DO NOT CHALLENGE! I AM CYCLIST! YOU CANNOT CHALLENGE! YOU MUST LEAVE ROOM!"
So he obviously did see me. I wanted to establish exactly what it was that he thought I should have done differently, but he just kept shouting the same shit. In the end I called him something unimaginative and left it at that.
Got the reg number (I think) so will report him to TfL in case that does some good.
