It's like those sentence tests where you remove the vowels or similar, where you clearly read what you want to read, not what's in the paper.
Self face palm.
ahem.
Thanks guys. Done it!
L, use it, it's ace! I left mine on and did some pocket recording at polo. Incriminating stuff.
Spit kits? Ew.

I'd like to find a head attachment (as I dont wear a lid) that doesn't make me look like a twat/borg
meant to say I'm thinking of going the twat/Borg route as I also don't wear a lid and I'd like some thing that will at least vaguely be pointing where I'm looking.
I'm thinking of modding a cycling cap... It will almost certainly be terrible though.

maybe adapt a petz light or similar

Where do you post your videos and how do you edit them?
I have been watching this guy's videos on youtube by the way.
http://www.youtube.com/user/gaz545Love the videos. I have only been cycling to work for a couple of months now but you have filmed all things that are wrong on the road. Loved your: RLJers get no where, happens to me all the time, I alway catch and over take the RLJers.
Keep up the good work!

Louis I saw you this morning with it clipped on your cap brim, how's that working out? Was thinking of trying something like that myself

First time I've tried The cameras at all and can't look at it at work... I think they both ( I've got one on the back too) keep turning themselves off at random intervals ( in testing last night it was only one, videos lasted 46 seconds and 1.13 respectively)?!?! On the bike the lights keep turning off, why!?

Oh, how stupid did I look?
(I probably won't believe anything that doesn't equate to 'very'!!! :) -

Is this the sound setting perhaps? I read something about the voice activation part where they turn off if no sound?
Quite journey in to work? Perhaps you need to swear more. -

Wicksie is right. It sounds like the sound mode. If you use this (by pressing the mode key once) then it only comes on at certain sound levels. That said a commute along busy roads (or even quiet ones) means that it will be pretty much on all the time. I did this on my first commute and came in to find 15 different videos it seemed that when I stopped it stopped.
Now I make certain not to touch that button. There are other possibilities also
1) poor charging. The cables they send and the plug afdapter are crap. Use your own usb cable and it charges brilliantly.I don't know if battery memory is a problem but fully charging them initially is really important. Not sure how to overcome that if that is the problem.
2) you've got a dodgy one that has a fault. Try it a few times and if it doesn't work contact the seller - I had a prob with one and got a speedy refund.
3) your micro sd card. Not experienced it myself but when researching these I saw a posrt elsewhere about using cheap cards. Sometimes they can't handle the volume of data so stutter or switch off.

And can we haz pictures of your hat set up please Mister. L.
:) -
• #364
You should have asked at polo I would have let you take a picture! :) I'm inclinded to say it's a poor first charge as all I've got is a few seconds each time I pressed record not on and off... Left them plugged in at work after my first attempt and that seemed to work fine, I'm watching my journey home from polo now... Even in the dark surprisingly good quality... If it wasn't for headlights blinding the camera... You can still read number plates when they get too close though... I really need to have a smoother riding style! :)
I should probably take the lack of reply from C to mean I look proper stupid! :)

Safety over style L.
I've drawn up the pattern for the holster and will sew it together when I can. Once I've sorted this, I should be able to adapt it to go on anything with a bit of thought. Hats, seat stays etc. -

Can you intergrate a mini steddy cam in?! :)
-
• #367
Oh just put a chicken on your head and you'll be fine, *then *you'll look stupid the way you want to.
-
• #368
I don't understand the two posts above. ^^
-
• #369
Louis you didn't look like a twat, honest :-D
I however, generally look like a twat/benny hill with my cap brim up, so I'm not sure it will be a good look for me -
• #370
Steddy cam is a mounting used by film operators to keep a camera steady, they were using in the film aliens on the heavy weapons ( vasquez...)...
The video above shows that a chicken could be used...

MOC has stolen one of my cams to attach to his latest project
-
• #372
Ha, quality. I was thinking about attaching it to one of these the other day. -
• #373
hmm, i never thought of that - I have a similar kite...

• #374
Is that a White board in your flat C?!

I take it back, it was the darkness that made my head shaking problematic... Head cam is good, just need to angle it down a bit more and it'll be perfect.
be careful though because i am sure i heard that bus drivers were issued with these little spit retainer things that they can use to build evidence against people that abuse them on buses. if he wanted to be a bit nasty he could have you, just saying.
