Line being drawn here... this is as many people as the coach can reasonably hold.
The coach will be £5 per person, payable in advance... details to come shortly.
Just pointing out there are a couple in the list not going for the coach I think 5 for sure, but with sainsburys ed's +1

Is this a bike that is so inconceivably awesome that you'll be leaving us for dust and be all on your lonesome? :)
no, though it is a nice bike, but its the sort of bike i can confidently ride 100 miles on without being worried every conceivable thing on it might break.
and on a 100mile overnight cycle, id quite like not to hold everyone up -

If there are any definite drop outs I would appreciate being bumped onto the list, I have £5 and am working on getting hold of a bike. -

I'm in for this, already booked on southwark coach before I checked this thread (I'm sure it'll be fine! delays last year with the van they'd booked - hopefully a one-off).
Cliveo: slow / supportive / sociable / sensible suits me, I will try & look out for you & others of that mind. Doing ladies Brighton outing end of June, & some other longish rides out if I can sort them (will PM Peter re: the offer of an Epping epic as preparation).
It will be mega - heard about DD for years but not been about. -

"long rides are fun!" I'm in :-)
EDIT:
bummer about the coach :( any quitters? -

I cant 't do this or not all of it as I have Love box tickets for the next day . Ms Jones will be the star attraction
However, I ve had some one express an interest in a "newbie " ride and I am happy to do that, though it may be an evening one.
Also, if I don't do Dunmow and back, then would there be any interest in an LFGSS feed station @ Whipps X?
I can't promise cakes yet, but I will see if the GLW will oblige with her brownies
Otherwise it will be Pot Belge and a banana each

P.S.: if you need someone to drive a van - I can do it, as long as it's under 3.5t and up to 7 seats (Category B only)

I'm up for more of a social ride since this will be my longest ride this year so far.

P.S.: if you need someone to drive a van - I can do it, as long as it's under 3.5t and up to 7 seats (Category B only)
When I originally volunteered van driving services for this event to bring bikes back from Dunwich, I hadn't expected to be moving to Sheffield. However, if you're local, willing and capable then it would make more sense for you to do this instead of me hauling my way down the country to do this. Also having moved recently, I have a lot less time on my hands at the moment.
For this, you should need a long wheelbase van (LDV for preference). My original plan was to load a few useful spares and tools and all the nosebags and depart from London Fields around 10pm (or earlier if all the usual suspects had checked in before then) and head out to somewhere near the official feed station. Take a nap there if possible until some miscreants harrangued me for food and wait until the last on the list was through or 6am had passed, whichever was earlier and head on to the beach. As people arrive then bikes can be checked in and loaded on ready for transport, nosebags can be accessed again along with towels for those that fancy a dip. After that, drive back (carefully and cautiously) to a preordained meeting point. Naturally you'd be on call for anyone experiencing dire technical fails so there may be more driving required. A van would also allow for the transport of two more live bodies. Velocio has suggested that the forum may be able to support the cost of the van.
If you reckon you can manage that and no one has a good reason why you shouldn't then I say you're the man for the job.

Because I don't think they want the coach. Sorry, and there's been a discrepancy between people usng the list and people using the poll. The list was never derived from the poll. I bit of a fail on that part.
Worth noting that damo, Clever Pun, dee-bee-one, have said that they don't need the coach but joelovesfixed and Sansbury's Ed have said that they are bringing "friends" so there is still a spare spot on the coach and it really needs to be overhauled as well as double checking early adopters to make sure that they're still in.

i'd like to cycle the route, never done DD before, and then, when done can help with loading and packing bikes into a van and driving it carefully and cautiously back to London.
wow! i timed that right! ;-)
