8.20 Grobag Towers, 9am E&C roundabout, 9.45 Tooting Broadway/Mitcham Road junction... does that sound roughly OK? Gives us time to wait for people at E&C.

OK cool, earlier is good. Sorry don't know where I got 10am from.
E&C is a big old place: Shall we say the north eastern corner pavement, where Borough High street ends, opposite the station?

Unless you fancy riding over Ditchling Beacon to Brighton and back again. 'S only 8 miles...
Sounds like a good course for the 'LFGSS on Tour TT'. I'll bring a stopwatch and be timekeeper.

Scott suggested the corner where the pub is, where the Brick to Brix ride regrouped, but I can't remember the name of the pub to find it on a map...

Junction with Walworth Rd. If I remember correctly

OK tricity, I'll watch this space for scott to describe it. Cheers
re: drink, we're going to go to a 'gastro-(interitus)-pub' for dinner right? In which case only a whiskey warmer for campfire songs will be needed! Which reminds me, I will bring my songbook and try to find some most of you will know, some gentle evening singing would be cool ...
'her eyes they shone like diamonds...'

What the hell.
Adventures like that don't happen slouched in front of the telly and while I doubt anything quite as epic will happen this weekend, there's no way watching the rugby won't be shit in comparison.
I hope your team takes a massive drubbing.
What he said.

If my memory serves me correctly that pub is called 'The Elephant and Castle'. :)

There's a shop at the campsite which sells matches and charcoal for barbecuing - and each pitch has a fire pit so you don't need a disposable BBQ - but I don't know what else it sells. The only problem with finding a shop is the nearest place with shops after you've got to the campsite is Ditchling and I don't know how well-equipped with beer Ditchling is (though I think there's a farm shop which probably sells cider), so the Somerfield at Lindfield on the way may be a safer bet.
Unless you fancy riding over Ditchling Beacon to Brighton and back again. 'S only 8 miles...
Perfect,a shop stop at the end of the ride down, coupled with emergency food and hipflask for the journey / if all else fails.
Perfecto!

I'm going to have a tent and that's about it. Will buy beer and food at the final shop stop. Something I can cook on the fire relatively easily, so that I don't have to bring a stove and all that jazz. Tins of something and a fork should do me if I'm slumming it for the night.
Not sure about the morning's food - brekkie stop at a cafe, anyone?

Oh, and can someone PM me the address for the Towers so I can make my way over on Friday night? Muchos gracias, amigos.

Yeah sounds good - though just to warn you I'm not sure there's anything before Horley, which is about 22 miles from the campsite, but at least we'll have worked up an appetite.

a museli bar or something like that will be enough fuel to get to the brekkie stop

I will be riding out FROM Brighton, and may possibly tow the girlfriend along, but she will probably drive due to work commitments, and she can meet us there, I can always get her to pick up anything from a supermarket on the way through!

i fitted a rack to my charge plug earlier this week and this morning I rode to work with my borrowed panniers, and annoyingly the back of my shoes keeps catching the front of the panniers...
i need smaller panniers... or smaller feet...
I hated to be bringer of bad news, just thought it should be said. :( sorry Tricity.
