I was really up for this, but regular riding buddies are unavailable.

Oh i see....too good for just us eh?
-
• #55
No, it's not that! Just with the camping and stuff, I'm either going to have to bunk in with someone or take my own tent for just me. If someone is looking for a space in a tent I guess we could sort something out.

See now that's more like it...look at all those possibilities you have now. ;)

this is pretty cool
http://www.topeak.com/products/Bike-Tent/Bikamperpricey though... for the same price you can get a really good ultralight tent that can be used without a bike and weighs the same...

Exactly, plus it has had some bad reviews on the singletrackworld website when they did a bivi ride. It's quite heavy too considering you utilize the bike for poles.

Be no use for Max or Fruitbat either...with the height of their saddles the bloody thing would be off the ground!

I am tent' to do this but I don't have a tempt', either way.
Please consider me as a back up option.

ha har!
I'm thinking of going just as an excuse to use our tent again. I highly recommend the terra nova laser competition tent, weighing only 940g. Described as a "1+ man tent", it comfortably sleeps 2 people who are very close! It was perfect for me and Dave for 2 weeks in France :D
