  • They haven't committed any crime. It's their customers who commit crimes against fashion on a daily basis. Dickhead tax, innit.

    Sort of..

    Key point.

  • vote with your feet. end of story.

Agreed. Thats exactly what I did

  • I have always found them to be quite good...

  • i have only ever found BLB helpful, knowledgable and great guys

    just to balance things out

  • At the last election I was at the voting station and this little monkey asked me to help him fill out his slip because he couldn't write, so I said "vote with your feet". He shat on the floor and scarpered off. Honestly, this country.

  • But then, they didnt do me for seventeen hunge...

  • vote with your feet. end of story.

Though my pencil control is not bad I'm not supple enough to get my foot up to the shelf in the booth. Had to go with the hand in the end.

  • How, they sold the guy exactly bonafide products if they sold him a carbo-lite pug resprayed as a Pinarello with a bag of shite wheels and parts you'd have a point but you're comparing apples and oranges.

Not NOS frame (it has been resprayed) and fork does not match.

Not exactly bona fide is it?

  • I remember a while ago they sold a Bianchi 'low pro' track bike that's not quite what it was, anyone know?

  • if you are looking for a bianchi lo pro and you have no idea what it should look like or the distinguishing marks on the frame / frame number then you are aren't doing your research properly or you're a hipster looking to spunk some hard earned dollar
either way i wouldn't have thought blb would have resprayed it like that or are trying to sell it as such

  • If BLB knowingly sold it on as resprayed NOS or not we'll never know, fact is it was sold as NOS and is clearly resprayed.

  • NOS means new old stock, so should be a totally unused, never assembled frame, possibly just showing a few bits of damage from storage but no signs of use.

  • Not NOS frame (it has been resprayed) and fork does not match.

Not exactly bona fide is it?

James, I'm just playing devils advocate as I see at as more satisfying than grabbing a pitch fork and joining the baying mob.

Incidently the reciept only lists a NOS frame not frame + forks so the shop could say that they provided the forks for free (arn't they nice).

Also do you know for certain that the frame has been resprayed or is it just forum hearsay?

  • ...or you're a hipster looking to spunk some easily inherited dorra

    fixed

  • Haven't been in for a nearly a year, bought a pair of their double clips and deluxe straps. Happy with the product but found Jan to be a bit sarcastic, telling me I'd need new pedals as well(walked in with my lht with flats and Jols), told him it was for another bike to replace a worn pair and was given a withering look.
My gf bought a lovely Cilo road frame and a pair of Rossin forks from him, when we got it home I looked down the fork steerer and saw there was a stem wedge stuck in the steerer. I rode straight back down there, spoke with a girl with shortish blonde hair(i think) who said no worries, it's happened before, hands it to Jan who then accused me of getting it stuck in there(we'd bought it less than an hour ago, I hadn't even fitted a headset cup yet). He then said to go for a coffee and when I got back 10mins later they were going at it with a drill and sledgehammer. Not impressed.
They killed the fork in the end and I ended up with a new blb track fork.
Sure joeslain was in there at the time and we had a chuckle about it.
It's just not worth the effort, never found it to be a welcoming shop compared to most.

  • Last time I went in there they were all pissed and acting like cunts. Not been back since.

  • Was that yesterday?

  • About a year ago. To be fair it's probably not typical.

  • Ive found everyone in there absolutely fine to deal with expect the main guy, im guessing thats Jan?
I was once in there and he looked like he was about to punch a guy, he got so pissed off because this guy didnt know the bcd on his bike.....anger management?

  • ^I have found this to be the case also.

  • I have also found that wearing my forum hat in there ensures extra politeness! They should treat everyone like that tho.
I feel like im mary portas reviewing bad serviuce in shops!

  • I bought a rim.
It was the rim I wanted.

I was neither overcharged, nor given a discount.

I remain equivocal about my experience.
