I caught up with some Melb mates this weekend and was telling the story of running over a tiger snake while mtbing around the 'burbs. "Snake Snake Snake!" I yelled while this very pissed off snake sat between me and the others. "We thought you were saying brake brake" and point at this crooked looking tiger. He fucked off down the hill with no further interaction. Sorry Mr Snake.

Often see big brown snakes riding back home but they're usually very quickly vanishing into the bush off the road. Not ridden over one yet. :S

I almost ran over a green snake of some kind once, it slithered back into the grass verge just in time to avoid my front wheel. That's the only snake I've seen out here, my in-laws have regularly had pythons in the trees in their street! Imagine!!

I've seen quite a few little ones on roads in places like Poland and Spain but they can be ignored. The ones in Oz will fuck you up though if you're unlucky (or more oftent than not, stupid)
