Josh, if you're really concerned about it I'd suggest posting your own thread about Foffa Bikes asking for thoughts/criticisms etc..

but just make sure nobody in the new Foffa thread mentions the old Foffa thread in case that leads to the existence of the "elite" being revealed....

You obviously think they've upped their game, others might not. Surely it is only fair to have both POVs aired?

Of course, if people read all of the posts in this thread they'll realise that the people dragging down the business have left. If not, you can be a sensible counterweight to that.

I think its called censorship that; when you think people should be protected from information and opinion that you don't agree with when in a position of power.

If it was a pros and cons / good and bad discussion, I'd leave it. It's 14 pages of shit that ended up with me being threatened and someone being fired. It got out of control and will hurt his business for no good reason. Some things are bigger than this forum, believe it or not.

I'm not sure of the name for that off hand, but I think there are lots of holywood films about it being an evil thing. Its also often the motive for murder in TV dramas.

Foffa seems to have done everything he can to rectify the problems he had; in other words he listened to and responded to his critics. What good are your principles if they just lead to a new bike shop having a needlessly hard time?

Yeh right; it's cut throat money-grubbing when it's Foffa but it's 'support your LBS' every other time. If Foffa is a crap shop, if they have not changed then we will soon find out. They deserve a chance to prove that they are sincere without the dead weight of this thread hanging round their necks. Yes, it's a compromise, it's not the feel-good-about-taking-a=moral-stand that you might prefer but so what?
And your insinuations about Wicksie are pathetic; she has not exactly hidden her connection to the shop has she? I haven't defended them throughout this thread, but yes I am using my power to protect them for valid reasons that I've explained twice.

It's sad that people are so angry about this which is ironic because it's precisely why I've moved it away from the public. People getting carried away, having bravdo when they're behind a computer and bitching away because we're here to talk about bikes, but I've said it before and I'lll say it again, this is someones lively hood ffs.
To reiterate, I bumped in to Dani Foffa at CM, he invited me over to see his new shop, he gave me a bike to play polo on. Obviously it's a tactical move but if I thought his company was shit then I wouldn't take his bike and I certainly wouldn't defend them to people one this forum.
Don't let it worry you so much, it's no big deal.
Obviously people are entitled to their oppinions, but at the end of the day, this forum gets carried away, talks a lot of guff, takes the piss a lot, and the outside world and people whom are trying to make a living, don't need this.
