Right. So I've found the battery and attachéd the leads to the car. After a while the display came up, but then as soon as I try and start it, all the juice gets used up.
If I leave it charging (around 1min) and then try and jump start it the battery seems to already be flat.
Is it possible to do a running jump with no juice?
If running jump started it before, but that's been after weeks of use rather than over a year of no use.
Any thoughts ?
I think either find a better way of charging it, with a conditioning battery charger, or buy a new battery. They never really hold a charge too well after being discharged fully, especially if they've sat outside in the cold.

The best day I had in Vietnam was riding a Minsk. It missed like fuck, underpowered for 2 up, only worked at full throttle or at idle, and the bike vibrated enough to give me a dead leg after 30 mins. 150km of broken and unpaved roads through rural Vietnam was incredible. Met amazing villagers who laughed that I was still riding a Minsk when they abandoned them for Japanese scooters 10 years ago. My girlfriend only yelped once when I almost rear ended a local who got stuck in a surprisingly deep muddy puddle and I fish tailed it through a bumpy bit trying to avoid him. We rode over bridges so narrow I could put my feet out and have them over water, a floating bridge which was just wooden planks lashed to blue barrels, and on a ferry which was just longer in width than a bike length so 10 people ride on while it's still moving and you rode off while it moved too. Incredible day! There's no way I could have experienced any of that in a car.

Also. I hate kick starts.

Especially when you're as good at stalling as I am.

I've removed analser and batery on my Husa on purpose, leaving only the kick start. That's how I love them. Stupid electronics. Not to mention weight saving. And it's manly :)

further to my Police stop and subsequent charge with driving without insurance (not having commuting on my policy) I'm pleading not guilty and waiting for an intermediate diet (trial they do in Scotland that assesses if all of the information/evidence/witnesses is/are in place in advance of proper trial) date.
My solicitor is pinning it on one key piece of information in the citation - the Police officer states that he spoke to my insurance company and they advised that they would not indemnify me
He states categorically that this is not true. They would refer to the Motor Insurers Bureau who would indemnify
Fingers crossed a *letter to the Procurator Fiscal is all it will take
*a fcuking expensive one at that
