today i am very angry with motorcycle sellers. i negoitiated a price for the motorcycle pictured below. the seller and myself had a good line of communication. i sent a cheque, set up a collection via shiply only to be told last night that the sellers son now wants it as his bike has 'gone kaput'. it's so frustrating. i am glad i did not accept any of the offers on shiply. people cannot be taken to their word. gutted.

400! ....... how many hours was that?
It was a bit more than 7 hours, because I had to keep stopping for a brew and to get some feeling back in my fingers. Got stuck in the Monday evening traffic coming back into London as well.
The moral of the story is, "Read the small print before bidding on eBay. "Buyer Collects" might be the reason no-one else is bidding..."

Anyone fancy a 350 enfield? Indian built mid 90s and fettled to be really great nick.
If it wasn't at the other end of the country I might have been.
To anyone thinking about it, do it. I had a 500 and it was awesome.
Parts are dirt dirt cheap and the bikes are so simple that you can do everything yourself.
I did all sorts to mine, single seat, bobbed fenders, custom open megaphone exhaust and rejetted carb, rebuilt the gearbox, changed the ignition to electronic etc and it cost me pennies and, because of the exhaust, woul drown out Harleys.Really want to get a 350 and put it into trials/scrambler trim.

oh , it was a new (to you) bike. brave to trust it that distance. if i had been as forthright in attitude like yourself i would not have lost out on the bmw. i feel silly now as it was a mere 260 mile ride back to london.

It could do with a decent seat but it doesn't look that bad.

i just felt like they had a half baked idea and ruined a perfectly cool bike and have now moved 'on to the next one'
when some of the garages mentioned up thread do this it looks great and time and care is spent, but that effort just looks like cheap , unfinished and nasty. -

This one is badly done, but remember that video you sent the other day on vimeo, these guys were doing severe amendments to their old bikes, just better.

More determination than imagination or taste.
Looks like a bulldog licking piss off a stinging nettle.*
*Not my line.

Coppi, what build are you? I have a cheesy bmw t-shirt that has shrunk too far.

Have bought many bikes like that and finished them off. People start them with ideas and just lose interest.

I believe technical term is 'monkey'.......but yeah, fook that - frequent pissing of blood is fairly common amongst the passengers with the battering they take on the way around, I hear. Ow.

A lad I went to school with sit in the chair, he was mental then and it has been a very slippery slope.
He confirms the blood/wee combination.More bad news. RIP.

I hate motorways, its so windy and my right indicator has a habit of not flashing unless I'm doing my MOT. But mostly the wind. Hate it! My GPZ500S is too light i think, i had no problems on a Triumph Trident, but then it weighed at least 50kg more.
