  • on the brighton ride this weekend there were so many classic bikes passing us
does anyone know if there was a reliability test / meet or was it just the first nice weekend of the year and people wanted to blow the cobwebs out of the exhaust pipes
just seemed to many for a normal sunday

  • it might have been the sunbeam motorcycle club pioneer run

  • tweed ride but with more horse power

  • 1967 BSA Metisse
    1973 BSA Cheney

  • I've fallen in love.
Bicycles, as much as I love them, are my second love in life. A mistress, if you will, as I'm not really in the position to own a motorbike at the moment.
    That's all going to change.

I need this fucker in my life.

It's basically got everything I want. It's not too punchy (by any means), which is good firstly for insurance and secondly for me not killing myself. It's pretty reliable apparently, and it's not to mechanically complex.
I'm going to admit though, it's just purely for the looks. Oh MAN I love old café racers.

I was thinking about saving up for the Harley Iron 883, but this had completely stolen it's thunder, on almost all accounts. It's practical, better suited to my needs and cheaper!

Oh man I am on SUCH a hype about this bike!

  • I would say build your own man, much more satisfying... The Iron 883 is pretty nice too though but I'd be reluctant to buy a Harley, love the Triumph too much to stray...

I'm getting my first bike in a month or two, getting something from the Police confiscated bike store, have a friend who's an officer and owes me a favour so I'll be getting whatever I want out of their confiscated stash :D Hoping I'll either find a Bonnie, CB360, RGV250 or something worth a good bit of money so I can sell it and buy something nice ;)

  • I had an RGV250 - great bike, but black hole financially - a well looked after, non raced straight one is like a needle in a Haystack these days!

Always been a Suzuki man, heres my current ride

  • That's a serious pipe you've got there man!! Really want to build a bobber at some stage, probably a Triumph engine... Nice and old school, no fancy blingy bits... Something Shinya Kimura meets Harbortown Bobber style! It's going to be a Cafe Racer next though, cannot wait to start riding! Have a serious soft spot in my heart for a Ritmo Sereno style BMW...

  • Dropped my Guzzi today. Gutted.

It's not actually that bad, but the brake pedal is snapped off and coming through London on wet roads and only a front brake was interesting, to say the least..

  • dont be scared of the front, you can brake 90% of wot u would in the dry when its wet, touch the back n its locked

ive just bought a superdream to make into a flat tracker, im going to sell my suzuki tu on gaybay come the weekend, its ace looks like a mini bonnie but im 6ft2 n cramped as hell on it

just had to get rid of my tricked cbr streetfighter that died of massive fuel system fail in the snow :-(
gutted to of got rid but i cant afford to lose my license and i know i would this year

  • Any of you lot joining us on the sunny Isle o Man for TT?

  • today i have been pining after a seventies R60 bmw /5 , /6 or /7 not fussed

  • Noice.
I've been thinking about getting a cb750, one of the newer ones for that old school UJM style but better brakes and reliability:

  • We had these back home (well, maybe not this model)

Wanted this one when I was a boy, because of it's bad reputation (which was welcomed by those, who awaited transplants)

My dad had this one (MZ)

  • I had an RGV250 - great bike, but black hole financially - a well looked after, non raced straight one is like a needle in a Haystack these days!

Always been a Suzuki man, heres my current ride

You are kidding right? NO rear suspension, except some coiled springs under the saddle?

Was the bike made to simply eventually just shake itself apart?

    *truly bewildered*

  • Bad Science that thing is hefty! Been anywhere deserving of those panniers on it?

I found an advert somewhere to take a Royal Enfield tour of India, I was so tempted, it sounds awesome.

To Nahguavkire up-page: I would build my own, but I have literally no idea where to start, learning wise. My friend used to live with a few angels and he's built up some natty choppers but he's in my hometown and I'm stuck in Manchester now. I'm going to try and save up for a Clubman EFI and learn by taking it apart on weekends. Probably not the best idea but you have to start somewhere and I hate people too much to ask for help.

  • It is 1200cc of pure bloody hefty. I dropped it a couple of weeks ago and picked it back up by the sheer power of raw anger. AAAARRGH!
I'm planning on visiting my bro in geneva, then heading through the alps to the factory, then getting a ferry across to croatia and home via austria and germany.

  • got back from Madeira a few days ago. There are new rules, that if you've got a full driving licence (category B that is), than you can ride 125cc scooter without limits with a passenger. So I rented this badboy that goes 100kmh on the highway like nothing.

it was my first 2 days on the motorised bike. now I'm hooked - want to go and get an A category added to my licence. Any advice welcome. :]

  • Meanwhile in Oslo

    Isn't it awesome?

  • very much so.

if anybody hears of a 70's bmw (r60 - r80) for sale or languishing in somebody's garage please let me know. i know someone who is interested. cheers.

  • My mate from Norway wrote, that Police in Oslo was equipped with them recently for some royal parade.
