  • Irrelevant, interesting.

  • Weather's going to be good.... so get a coffee, a crossiant, and a newspaper and go and sit in St. James' or Green Park, and watch the world go by... if that doesn't rock your boat, and you wanna see something check out http://www.boroughmarket.org.uk/ and a wander by the river...

Sunday it's London marathon day which is fucking annoying, and pretty special in equal amounts.... take in a bit of a wander and full sillness of it all.

failing that I've got bugger all to do this weekend so you can buy me a beer for my advice :-))

  • Columbia road flower markets on sunday morning.

Is that fabulous tapas place still there?

  • Thanks for the tips guys :) Crashing at a portuguese mates, so he will no doubt know of somewhere to get a decent coffee. Didn't realise it was the Marathon this weekend. Should make life interesting!

  • Due to a friend getting man flu on the isle of wight over the weekend, I have a spare tkt for Huckle Berry Fin this eve.

Southwark play house, corner Tooley st/Bermondsey st. 7.30pm.
    Anyone?

  • So... hypothetically...

If I wanted to take someone out tomorrow... and not end up in pubs or bars... or galleries... or anything thus far suggested on this thread... or paintball...

The only prerequisite being that i\d prefer not to emerge looking like a fucking idiot. I understand this is a big ask.

  • Tower bridge (thetop bit that you get to walk across)?

    Blackberry picking? (make pie afterwards)

    chislehurst Caves(never beenn)?

hire a bike and go up one of the cannals, lunch then back?

  • guided walk?

  • Tower bridge (thetop bit that you get to walk across)?

If it wasn't going to be pissing down tomorrow, this would be perfect.

  • well if its pissing down, going about town isnt gonna be the best thing! duvet days FTW

  • I was going to suggest the opera but there isn't any tomorrow. Shame as it's fab, and it worked a treat for Richard Gere.

    Kew Gardens by boat.

  • well if its pissing down, going about town isnt gonna be the best thing! duvet days FTW

lets not get ahead of ourselves

  • If you need a short time-filler there's supposed to be 100 free ping pong tables been set-up around London this weekend. Me and my brother played a couple of games at the two by St Pauls today, though I don't know where the others are located. We played in the pouring rain, it was still fun.

Otherwise cinema or something, find somewhere showing a matinée classic?

  • on that note- I've seen them at Covent Garden, St. Pancras, and other stations, the Brunswick near Russell Sq Station, The British Library...

    boat trip down thames?
    would that work?
or indoor golf? or (dare I say it) the Eye?

  • thanks for the tips, kids...

    panics

  • london cycle tour thingy:

  • how about making good use of the rain, and take a lovely umbrellered evenin stroll

  • This could be cool Balki http://www.upsettherhythm.co.uk/yesway/

If your into music...n stuff. Oh! and its inside.

  • Er, church?

  • and if ya REALLY like her.....next thursday http://www.fuckoffiloveyou.co.uk/....

    hahaha jokes

  • sorry just had to post it

  • OR!
if none of the above tickles ya fancy....http://viewing-gallery.altitudelondon.com/
its a tenner tho and ya have to book...me tinks?

  • Or, get a job as a courier and go up Millbank tower for free. You do have to travel in the goods lift though.

  • Balki - put together a little picnic set [proper glasses and cutlery, teatowels to sit on etc…] bottle of white wine or prosseco and go to Marleybourne farmers market. Put together an impromtu picnic from the stalls and decamp somewhere green for a pickernic.

You've got a passion for food and doing something like this is a bit more 'natural' than going to a gallery etc… nice little ice breaker so when you get to the picnic bit you can have a proper chat

{you get extra points if you pack a cheese board and cheese knife]

  • If it wasn't going to be pissing down tomorrow, this would be perfect.

It's under cover the walkway up top.
