  • On One, Surly, Genesis especially requested, dont be shy, cash waiting

  • this is pretty much what Im looking to shift all the kit off, seat tube about to snap off, #couldbemassivecrashimpactfromlastyear
    http://www.lfgss.com/post1252806-224.html

  • I am looking to sell my Trek Marlin 17.5" frame and forks (they are crap but will get you going). Same as in this picture http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v680/ihaveagibsonsg/facebook_-778899917.jpg

Sliding dropouts for SS. I don't have the dropouts/hanger for gears though. I can't imagine will be that hard to source though. Rubbing on the chainstays from England's glorious mud. Scratches here and there. Will take pics if any interest.

    50gbp? not sure on price?

  • What do we reckon on canyon bikes, my big wheeled buddies?
I know they're not a boutique brand, but you get good shit for your dough......I had a long off road blast last week on the transition, and my ankles felt like glass the next day, and my back hurt like a bugger.....I feel the need for full bounce xc goodness

  • I assume you're not after massive amounts of travel then? Just more/some comfort...

    Something like this?

    http://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes/bike.html?b=3035

  • Buy this https://www.canyon.com/_en/mountainbikes/bike.html?b=3132 realise it's not what you really wanted, sell to me ;)

  • ^ Oof! That'll certainly handle the gnarlier sections of the canal path :-)

I keep rechecking that the price isn't for frame only... Crazy cheap!*

    *relatively speaking

  • I might have to consider a full suss when/if I reach stedlocks' age.

  • Oy!!
    I'm young, I tell thee!!!

You e got more grey than me though.....

    :0)

That's the one though... Nerve AL 7.9.
I've compared measurements between the trans am, and I think it will work. It's lighter than the trans am by a good 2lbs as it sits too! I reckon that even if I didn't get on with it, I could strip it and sell the parts for nigh on what it costs.... Or complete I think I'd get pretty close, as someone could throw their leg over it to see if its ok.... That's the main reason I'm dithering. I've got to have a clear out of surplus stuff though... My mancave doth overflow!

  • You've got more grey than me though.....

How the hell did you see the top of his head?

  • Magnets.... Obvs!

How's the shoulder fella?..... Gonna get some brakes now?? ;0) heal quick mate ;0)

The Nerve AL 7.9.is supposed to be really good. I did some research for a mate, and that came out as an easy winner. He then bought a Ghost, but still.

The linkages etc. are supposed to be good and strong.

Don't worry furry. One day, somebody will fully appreciate your incredible bike knowledge and take your advice on board.

They have my deepest sympathy when they do ;-)

Good to know..... There isn't a great deal about them on the net that isn't written by canyon though! I'm so close, but just wish I could try one...this will be my first ever full bouncer.. I resisted front suspension till about 5 years ago!

    Ha.

Dont worry I always advise people along the lines of what I should do. Not what I actually do.

That rear suspension type is pretty common these days. Maybe you could find something of similar design and travel to try.

I'm of the feeling that my legs can offer enough rear sus for most of the downhills I do. But they wont press the rear wheel into bumpy corners nearly as well as a decent rear sus unit would.

  • My problem was an exceptionally bumpy off road ride (think hard packed tractor ruts and horse hoof marks) .... The next day I was broken! This xc full suss might alleviate the shattered, glass like ankles!!

    I hate getting older!
I'm very bike fit at the moment, and don't want to ruin it by hurting too much to ride!

  • ^ Haven't you bought this bike yet?!

  • Hurry up!

    ;-)

  • Somebody on Singletrack has one.

And BikeRadar >>>>>> Have tested the higher specced version. Must ride very much the same I'd have thought?

If its just to pamper your bottom. Have you considered a thudbuster seatpost?

Wont give the added traction of a full sus of course.

  • My hoop is like leather at the minute....it's my ankles!

  • Buy something purple.
I'm pretty sure purple is fast.

I've gone right off of my lunch now :-(

  • Why? You're not eating 'hoop' are ya?? :0)

I like purple.... But that's too downhilly for me....!

I'm going sleep on it, and see if the pound rallies a bit against the euro tomorrow.... It's gone up £10 overnight! :0)
