That can't be right
Just to clarify. I didn't buy the shifter.

Not heard of Quiring Cycles before. Some nice looking frames.

How is that effect in the last photograph achieved- polish then acid etch?

Quiring is frequently discussed on MTBR
Highly respected

I don't know yet. Stencil & blasted somehow? I like it though.

That's where I heard of them.

I normally can't see the point in painting Ti frames, but I really like that top one. The white to orange fade looks just right to my eye.

Was checking today the new 2013 Genesis Fortitude, alsolute tank. Love it.
Comes fitted with 2.2 Continental tires but will easily take up to 2.4 (says I).
I'd reckon it's a good starting point to fatties. If it comes as frameset only, I'll be all over this.
Reynolds 725 too.

The one I 'tried' this afternoon had horizontal dropouts, believe it had a mech hanger too, but definitely horizontal.
And it looks beast. -

Yep, here it is.

That's it. Want.
And it does come as frame set :) -

Nice choice. Lots of options for mounting stuff too. Just so long as you never intend to run derailleur gears or a suspension fork.

That genesis looks awesome, not bad for the price either!
-
• #2989
I prefer the orange colour though :-)

• #2990
Ah, fork is an extra £79.99 on top.
-

You're probably
about to tell me how bloody obvious this isknow this already though. -
• #2992
D'ya know what, I saw that too, added the fork to the price and it didn't change. i believe it may be sold
separately, but it can be a typo/mall-function of the site... dunno, haven't looked for more. -

Either way, I'd strip the shit out of it to raw steel, immediately.

I nearly went for one of those.....the fact that it can't be run with a bouncy fork stopped me....
On another note, I bought a "joes no flats" kit, and I can't get the fucking front tyre to seat.....the rear eventually popped on, but the front refuses. It seems that the valve on the rim strip is sitting a bit high, not allowing the tyre to seat....I'm using a big fucking compressor too, the fire engine one, and it still refuses. I've tried fairy liquid water, to no avail...... -

I've had one of the black fortitude ss models for about six months now and can confirm it is a right hoot, albeit not orange, sadly. Masses of clearance with the conti 2.2s for sure, intrigued as to how big one could go...

One important thing is that the orange version doesn't have all the brazed-on like the green one.
no suspension is still great to ride, the huge 29ers tyres make up for the lack of suspension.

Maybe put it back in the forks? That's how I do mine, it allows the tyre to inflate and seal more quickly.
