^ Nice choice. Look forward to seeing it!

This is it, but he is fitting bigger bars and a nice little cnc'd control tech stem on it....
Not in my possession yet, as I have to go to Italy and haven't got the fundage right now?...but deposit is down ;0)

Should be great fun! I think I'd want to put a bashguard on for the sort of riding that bike might encourage :-)
-
• #2680
That mudguard'll never last..
-
• #2681
Ha!
Minimalist :0)I tucked it out of the way while I took it for a spin...... As for the bash guard, after the way I crashed today, it will take me a while to build up the confidence to do anything too dodgy!

looks fun though :)

The current state of my budget stand-in until I get my custom Rob English in a couple of months. :]
Are they Jones H-Bars? Or the Titec version?
Kinda want some but hoping to get the cheaper version as they won't get much use.

^ Might get a quicker response from BRP over on his Rob English thread.

They're the Jones aluminium loop bar...think they normally work out about £8O over here?
I was lucky enough to be sorted out by the ever generous B'jammin.I've always loved jones bars, but the loops are the best yet in my opinion. Can't recommend them enough!

^ Or maybe not.

Might go over to full loops on the Fatbike.
Me being fecking short means my lefty strut would clash with the handlebar cross bar with anything shorter than a 90mm stem.
I had planned on a 50/60mm stem + cut-H. Which as I understand it is the same as a 90mm with a Loop. Because of the lever placement. We'll see.

The Jones Loops are the heart of £100 over here now, but there are other options. Having owned the Loop, Cut Loop and Titec version of the original I ended up offloading all of them. The two bikes they were used on, tourer and 29er, now run Mary Bars. The tourer also has some stubby barends inboard of the grips to give a more stretched out position and I may do the same on the 29er.
With the Loop bars I just didn't feel I used the alternative hand positions enough to justify the cost etc. The Mary Bars with the barends give me the same regular use hand positions and enough variability to keep me happy.
I've also got some wider Fleegle bars to mess about with and again would probably mount some inboard bar ends.

Really like the look of this.

I prefer the look of this 29er

Not sure about the rear turning though.

Remember this new 2013 Cannondale singlespeed? price is £600, mechanical disc, but can't have everything.

^ Hydraulics are a pretty cheap upgrade these days, if somebody really wants them.
-
• #2694
It's still a hell of a lot of quality bike for that price.
-
• #2695
^ A lot of people appear to agree on that now. Has anyone on the forum actually bought one yet?
-
• #2696
This is getting annoying, I was very much intended on getting a Di2 carbon road bike on trade, and now this came along...
-
• #2697
^ You work in Evans Cycles don't you Ed? I seem to recall Dales having a good trade price when I worked there ( Evans, not Cannondale )
-
• #2698
You're not helping (Jamis' on trade are even better value).
-
• #2699
Is it 3 bikes per year that they allow you on trade? I think that's what it used to be.
-
• #2700
nope, one a year, and I'm waiting for the 3rd years to start before I leave.
I'm going for the transition trans am two9..... It's a no brainer for the price he is selling it for......
