Office/Company Xmas party

There's only 2 of us. We're going to go to the pub this Friday and drink our bodyweight in fizz. Job done :)

We (half our company) were left off the invite that went out a month ago. We then had 1hr to confirm our attendance to the black tie event. Suffice to say, I didn't bother replying and everyone else sent back a polite "piss off".

The the last one we had stayed in a pub and rocked up half way through so we don't really mind the 'accidental' exclusion.

Which reminds me of the last Xmas bash I went to when employed. There was a coach back from the other office at midnight. One of the postroom lads (who else?) got up on the seat for a sing-along when the driver put All Along The Watchtower on the ents system. Before smacking his head on the overhead luggage rack, falling forward, and vomiting all over the head and upper torso of the Deputy CEO sitting in front of him.

Never saw him again, funnily enough.

when i used to work at the beeb, our christams party consisted of, and i shit you not, a (just the one) licence fee payer sponsored mince pie in the bush house canteen. tea you had to pay for.

Mine are usually a good laugh. I tend to have one with my department then we have a company wide one after Xmas.

I only employ girls. So last year I took them out for dim sum, then proceeded to get the ones who weren't wrecked on lychee martini's to Westbourne House where they drank until they couldn't stand up. I saw them all the following day bright and early (I don't think). Cabs home for all of them and a clear conscience for me. Home and in bed by midnight. Turns out it was the social event of the century for some of them. Jesus, anyone would assume that the world of high-end luxury fashion parties just aren't enough.

Ours is on the 23rd this year, I shan't be there, I will be in Co. Down, eating Goose.

Last year's was in Dogget's on Blackfriars. Spent about an hour looking after somebody who had fallen on the dancefloor and smacked/split his head open on the edge of a chair until the ambulance arrived. Said incident featured in the Metro in an article about the "booze bus" - an ambulance that goes around mopping up after xmas parties.

mine's next friday, in Battersea Power Station... Should be fun!

I gatecrashed my old firm's xmas party last night, fucking hilarious... First one I've been to in years, some unbelieveable behaviour on display... ;]

I just got back from my Christmas party (it started at 3pm yesterday). We hired a country house near Oxford for 45 of us.

There was possibly the worst "disco" i have ever been to but there was a hot tub. Unfortunately, in some cases; what has been seen, cannot be unseen :-s

I think he meant the hot tub.

I want my own personal hot tub for warming up after rides.

Nobody else would be allowed in it though.
