That won't work out time wise for me unfortunately (Not that I have any interest in doing the TT).
Hit me up some time when you're going to do this evenings route again. The timing is pretty much spot on. -

Lovely route that, excellent views in the twilight mist. Will be doing that again, but next time avoiding the wheel-breakingly bad pothole under the railway bridge at Edenbridge.

Can you post up the route please?

60 miler out from Peckham to Edenbridge and back. Sort of like this. Not slow, but not fast, 17.5-18mph ish average? Leaving at 7 tonight.
I chose Polhill/Orpington bypass for a quick and easy run back in to town, if I was doing it all for nice lanes I would have gone up Star Hill and weaved my way back in from there.

I'll be leading the Hackney Bike the Bounds ride (counter-clockwise) tomorrow. About 20 miles around the borough boundary (except where the borough boundary is inaccessible because of the Olympics). Meet 12pm at Hackney Town Hall Square. It's likely to rain intermittently, so bring waterproofs. The ride takes around 3-4 hours depending on the group, and we'll finish at the Anchor and Hope or the Clapton Hart.

Going to smash the famous forum ride to Cambridge tomorrow. Lovely route I'm told. Plan to leave some time 1-2pm from LMNH. Not setting the world alight, but want to get there in reasonable time.

Anyone want to ride out to Brighton tomorrow?

• #659
Very last minute this. It's a lovely morning... who wants to go race* the rain in Epping / Theydon Bois and beyond for a few hours? I'm leaving Bethnal Green via Lea Bridge Road in about 45 mins but could hang on a bit if someone fancies joining me.
Apologies to folks at work. I'm working Saturday if it's any compensation.
*usually average about 16-17mph

argh just seen this, can't get my act together in time :(

You dodged the bullet there T! Puked on the third of those 4 Epping Hills we did last time (couple of weeks of punishment and no rides) then dragged myself round 55 miles at a snails pace. You'd have been bored out of your mind.

Weather's held out nicely though. Should have gone for a pootle, wasted my day now :(
-
• #663
It was lovely out there. Can't believe I nearly bailed out after 15 miles. Felt like shite. A quick nana and a tuna sarnie had me back on track. Really not impressing myself out there though.

• #664
Gotta work through it though. Green fields and fun on the other side, promise.

Got drenched, turned back early. Doesn't look to have rained at all in SE15. Might go out for a ride again. After I've finished watching this stage, obviously.

Would anyone be interested in riding to Lavenham with a few of us from Essex this weekend or next? In the past some londoners have caught the train out (about 25 mins) to ride with us and said they enjoyed bypassing the city traffic to get to the countryside.
Details here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread89249.html although the date isn't really fixed yet so feel free to suggest when you can make it

Planning to ride from south London to near Huntingdon (Cambridgeshire) tomorrow if anyone wants to come along. Should be leaving about 9am, depending on what happens this evening.
I don't have a garmin so although the route I've planned is about 80 miles, it could be a lot more. But it'll be sunny! And there are some scenic things en route! What could go wrong!?!
that is valid. last week I didn't know I was TTing until that afternoon so couldn't. this week, no excuse!
